    Find somewhere else to stay off airport and get a taxi to the airport

    Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, first of all it’s very difficult to find , we arrived in departures as we were departing Barcelona , you would think it would be sign posted ? No . After speaking to several different airport staff we eventually found the hotel , we saw one sign for sleep and fly about 50 meters from the reception . The room is compact , I get that as I expect the majority of guests are only staying overnight and just need somewhere to get some sleep . I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world , this has to be the worst. The bed was terrible , a positive is that it was clean , it was so hard I think the floor would have been more comfortable , terrible nights sleep and I can pretty much sleep anywhere . Breakfast ( if you can call it that ) was very limited just a few croissants and cereal . The reception staff were pleasant and took us to our room .For just over € 200 euros a night I would have expected a lot more . We are pleased to know that you found the room clean, which is a priority for us.Regarding the breakfast, we would like to clarify that our breakfast service includes both hot and cold items and is served daily from 4:30 a.m. directly at the hotel, specifically designed to accommodate early-morning departures.     Not a friendly, convenient option

    After reviewing the website thought this would be a good option for our overnight layover. Wrong! It's not clear that when you book a room, that is all you get (with a basic buffet breakfast) .We read about the lounge access - but that is extra. We read it was in Terminal 1 - it is not. You have to leave airside and go by the parking garage, to find it. Leaving you have to go through security again, for connecting flights. That added more time to our departure. The man checking us in was rude, arrogant and unhelpful. We arrived after 9pm and told we had to walk back to thr plaza area if we wanted to eat. Only one place was open, and only had one gluten free sandwich available. Had we known, we could've looked airside for food, before leaving security. It was a disaster. Breakfast buffet was a joke, with one cereal, one croissant and one hard roll available for gluten free. I had pre-asked for gluten free when booking. I was told that the lounge had no gluten free options anyway!Rooms were small and dated,; walking straight into the bathroom, which had lots of grubby seals and semi-clear glass. No usb outlets- for a travel hotel???Not convenient.Not helpful. Not welcoming.Not going back! Sleep & Fly Barcelona Airport is an airport transit hotel located landside in Terminal 1, not airside. This means that guests must exit the secure area and, if continuing their journey, pass security again — a standard airport procedure that is fully indicated in our pre-arrival information.Regarding signage, internal airport signage is managed exclusively by the airport authority. Hotels are not permitted to install or modify directional signage. For this reason, all guests receive detailed written instructions on how to reach the hotel, and our reception team is available 24/7 to assist by phone if needed.Lounge access is not included in the room rate and this is clearly stated at the time of booking. The room reservation includes accommodation and breakfast served at the hotel from 4:30 a.m., designed for early departures.As we are located inside the airport, we do not operate a restaurant service. Food and dining options are managed entirely by the airport, including opening hours and product availability. Unfortunately, we have no control over which establishments are open late in the evening or their gluten-free offerings.Regarding breakfast and special dietary requirements, while we do offer gluten-free options, we are a small airport hotel with limited space, and the selection may differ from that of a large city hotel or dedicated restaurant.     Horrible Service, Non-funcational Room, Avoid At All Cost. Do Not Stay Here

    I would avoid this hotel at all cost. I am a frequent international traveler and almost always choose airport hotels the night before an early departure. Having said that I have had plenty of experiences with airport hotels all over the world. This hotel is by far the worst airport hotel I have ever stayed at. My expectation was low at the outset as I took the name, “Sleep and fly” literally and did not expect a Hyatt or Ritz Carlton. If you are the owner reading this review, you may want to rehire most of your staff that work at your hotel. Almost no one that worked there was willing to work, the incompetence of every single staff was pronounced. The reception was unattended when we arrived. We waited for a while and she appeared. That was ok. Although she was friendly but the lack of trying was pronounced. We asked if we could get some ice and she said she would bring it to our room. We left the room and had dinner(45 minutes) and came back, she said it was “on the way.” After about what it felt like an hour later, another person brought us a cup of ice. The real drama came when I tried to take a shower after a long day of travel: the shower in our room was completely broken. Imagine after a long day, something as basic as a hotel room should be able to provide, did not work. Then another staff came and asked us to take a shower in the gym instead. How ridiculous was that? Then this staff came to our room and try to turn the shower on and she couldn’t. It was so clear to anyone with a two digits IQ that the shower has been broken and the shower has not worked for a while. How could a hotel rent out a room that the shower is clearly broken? That was a clear sign that the housekeeping and quality control were doing the absolute minimum. We refused to stay in the non-functioning room. The staff who came to check the shower claimed the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing she could do. We refused and she suddenly “find” another room. All of this took place after a long journey and wanting to rest only having to deal with a group of incompetent staff and a nonfunctional room which was not cheap. The experience of this hotel was so horrific that I am planning around my trip to Barcelona to make sure that I do not have to stay in this "No Sleep & Fly" airport anymore. It is that bad.     Scam Artists: I received written assurances that my future reservation would be refunded in full if at the full rate, so I went ahead and purchased the reservation at the full rate. When I went to cancel - weeks in advance, they said "non-refundable" - I pointed to the email they had sent me indicating it would in fact be refundable, and they still declined to refund. These platforms clearly display whether a rate is non-refundable, and this information must be accepted before the reservation can be completed.For reservations made directly on our official website, cancellations are refundable up to 72 hours prior to arrival, as clearly stated in our terms and conditions.We would like to emphasize that we do not mislead or deceive guests. On certain occasions, and always at our discretion, we may offer date changes or, if cancellation is requested well in advance, consider a refund as a gesture of goodwill. However, this does not override the agreed booking conditions, nor does it convert a non-refundable reservation into a refundable one.If any written communication was provided, it would have been based on the information and conditions available at that time.     So close to the airport international departures. Can easily walk over in under 5 minutes. Fabulous that the breakfast starts at 4.30am in the morning.
