  Good hotel for our purposes

  It is a nice hotel with a nice ambiance. We had kindly and helpful staff. Although the look out of the window over a Sewage Work was a little bit strange but at the same time we had a beautiful view from the side onto the Nile and Valley of the Kings. Since we read already in former reviews about this and since stayed only one night we considered this ok; and by the way: who is in a hotel room for a long time in Luxor. Only when you stood on the balcony you could hear some noise but not in the room when the window doors were closed. Food was good and the breakfast buffet was great and huge. The construction in the pool area was still there (as read in other reviews before) but if we accept that hotels get renovated this is ok. Of course there was no view onto the Nile during our stay.   5-star Luxor with private driver and guide!

  My West & East Bank tours with Maichel my guide, and driver Attef, were fantastic! Maichel is extremely knowledgeable about the tombs and temples, the history, the names, dates, and details. He made the experience memorable and stress free. Both of these gentleman were curious and pleasant to spend my day with. They are who you want to experience Luxor with!   A elegant hotel in luxor..we stayed here 5 nights and it was perfect..Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Fruits,hot food and an egg station.. Lunch at Italian restaurant was good . The pool was so good although we haven't use it this much according to our busy schedule and tours.. Weather was so good and refreshing .We tried several restaurants for the dinner but we preferred the Japanese restaurant 100% ..It was our honeymoon trip and we couldn't be thankful that we choose sonesta to trip because of Ms/Nardine she was so helpful and arranged literally everything for us as such a cake and very nice decoration with flowers. We can't thank her enough. Big shout out to her and to the whole team ..   Nice and pleasant stay right on the Nile

  Only spent two nights as part of a Saga Nile cruise experience. The room was nice and clean, and had a balcony allowing views towards the Nile, but the view was adversely affected by what appeared to be an industrial complex, maybe a water treatment plant, so best check with the hotel if possible which room has been allocated to you. The food was generally very good, some fried puddings were just too greasy for my palate. There is a nice terrace area that borders the Nile.
