Location

This is a functional establishment in the heart of the World Trade Center Almeda Park, adjacent to the auditorium and the Fira Cornellá. It is easily accessed by public transport via the stop Almeda (on the red Metropolitana line) and is three stops from the Europa Fira de Barcelona. It is adjacent to the RCDE Stadium and the Centro Comercial Splau. It lies just 5 min (5 km) from Barcelona Airport.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 138 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests can stay up-to-date thanks to the daily newspaper provided. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer.     Bugs in bathrooms

    The first room we were assigned had bugs in the bathroom.. after informing the night staff we were moved to second room, which had same bugs in despite being across the hotel. We were moved a third time, and I have no complaints regarding the staff - both night shift and manager in the morning were helpful - but I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone, as cant guarantee there won’t be bugs in your room (since 2 out of 3 rooms did). At 9am the next day we received a refund of the remaining nights we had booked and went straight to another hotel. Manager made it seem like the bugs were silverfish, I’m not positive but you can decide for yourself from the photo.This is not a typical travelodge, it is clearly an old derelict hotel that travelodge has bought and not yet refurbished - it’s nothing like a UK travelodge, both in decoration and cleanliness. Not to say that it didn’t look like the photos, it just wasn’t clean nor modern, definitely not worth the 600 pound we paid for a week.There was also a horrible pungent smell both outside the hotel and in the bathroom first thing in the morning, potentially a sewage issue.I never bother leaving reviews but I really don’t want anybody else falling victim and thinking this is a trustworthy chain hotel; the high price gives the illusion that it’s worth it like other travelodge are.I don’t think any single person is at fault, but this experience ruined the beginning and changed the course of our holiday - do not stay here, in my opinion it’s not worth the risk.     A True Night Owl Hero at Travelodge BCN Cornellà Fira** Rating: ★★★★★**Just wrapped up a week at the Travelodge Barcelona Cornellà Fira, and the hotel delivered exactly what we needed: clean, comfortable rooms, a practical no-frills setup, and an excellent location right by the Fira grounds with quick metro access to central Barcelona. But the real reason this stay stood out was the exceptional service from the team—especially Dima Shevchenko on the **night shift**, who made every late arrival feel welcoming, plus the helpful senior staff during the day.After a long, tiring day on a boat trip, we got back to the hotel late at night—exhausted, sun-burnt, and absolutely parched. At that hour, you often get a polite nod toward the vending machine (which was, predictably, out of cold drinks). Not Dima. Working the **night shift**, he personally went and got us chilled water bottles right away, added a few extras for the room, and did it with such genuine warmth and a smile that it completely turned our evening around. It was one of those small acts that make you feel truly taken care of when you're at your most drained.The biggest lifesaver came around 3 a.m. when our boarding passes wouldn't load properly on our phones ahead of an early flight. Dima, still on his **night shift**, calmly handled it all: accessed the printer, printed everything clearly, double-checked the details, and wished us a good rest. We slept soundly for the first time that trip, knowing the last travel stress was sorted.During the day, the senior staff member on shift was just as attentive. Our room's hot water kettle (sometimes called a "hot water cooker") was brand new but hadn't been properly set up or needed a quick swap for one in perfect working order. They spotted the issue, took care of it promptly and without any hassle, so we could enjoy hot drinks comfortably all week. Another thoughtful fix that showed real attention to detail.What made the service shine overall: - Dima on night shift — Unflappable positivity and energy at hours when most people are barely awake, always professional and kind. - Daytime senior staff — Equally proactive and helpful with practical needs like the kettle. - Genuine care — In an age of automated check-ins and apps, having real people who go the extra mile (day or night) makes all the difference.The hotel's location is spot-on for Fira events, airport transfers, or exploring the area, and everything else was reliably comfortable and straightforward.
