Don't stay here, no keys can be collected from anywhere

    rating22 Sept 2024

Could not gain entry for over 5 hours, nowhere had a key and where we were told to collect it, hadn't had one for over 2yrs. The manager Natalie lives miles away and nobody could get hold of her. By chance an employee was entering the building and we managed to speak with him and finally we had entry. We were on a hen do and meant to meet the group at 6, but that didn't happen.Appartment: No clean towels, waited a whole day for more.Bedding cleanShower drainage was awful, it flooded the appartment out everytime we used it, even though we found the same employer again to sort it out, it still wasn't fixed properly. If they just addressed the key situation and get a 24hr receptionist to enable paying customers to get into thier rooms and fire Natalie, the manager for her poor managerial skills.

Everything about this apartment screamed "someone please burn me with fire". We had to wait until the afternoon to go in as it was being "cleaned" which is absolutely fair enough - or you'd think it was if absolutely anything was clean in the apartment. I've taken some pictures of the dust on the beds, the pubes on the toilet seats and the broken floor tiles in the kitchen etc. One toilet drips, one sink drips and both are cracked. The shower is full of grime and mould. There were piles of hair and dust bunnies absolutely everywhere. Found a nice bit of used linen at the bottom of the wardrobe too. Also... Blood on the curtains?? I've got a pretty strong stomach but the first thing I did was go and buy a bottle of bleach from the supermarket across the road and blitz the place. Said supermarket is absolutely one of the few pros of this apartment. The decor is... questionable to put politely but it really does need to be addressed. Please see attached pictures. We expected to be able to cook basic lunches etc while staying here but honestly didn't really bother because it was so vile. I chanced warming up a burger king in the microwave and even that seemed to have given up the ghost about 20 years ago.ProsLocation is good (10 mins from beach and bars, opposite supermarket), cheap, appliances and toiletries left by previous guests, nice pool and lifeguard, water pressure that will strip your skin clean offConsDirty, broken, aged, no Aircon, no loungers at the pool, full of stags and hens plus hotels nearby are LOUD, beds that will break your back,

We stayed here as a group of 10 in May for our end of season football do. Having read some of the reviews prior to travelling we were a bit concerned as to what we were letting ourselves in for but we needn’t have worried. The apartments are house in a shared block mixed between holiday let’s and residential, the apartment itself was fully equipped with everything we needed and was clean and tidy.We had a 1 bedroom apartment with a double bedroom and pull out sofa bed in the lounge. The apartment had a fitted kitchen and walk in shower. The room had a fitted safe, an iron and and ironing board. The balcony was fully furnished and included a clothes aired. We had to leave a €200 deposit per room on arrival but this is returned on the day of departure as long as everything is left as you found it.The location was perfect for us, close enough to the nightlife without being noisy at night, I’d read reviews of the apartments being in a seedy area of town but this isn’t the case and I’ve certainly stayed in more seedy areas of Benidorm. The pool is communal and we were able to use this during our stay, like everything you need to be respectful of the rules and of the day to day residents,l or you risk ruining it for everyone. There is a pub, The Mad Munk, on ten ground floor of the block, we went here for pre drinks every night, the owners were really friendly and helpful and the prices were very good to.The test for me for any hotel/apartment is would I be willing to stay there again? The answer is yes I would, I suspect in summer the rooms could get a bit stuffy due to not having air con but there was nothing that would put me or our group off using these apartments again.

    Stag Weekend Base - Perfect

    rating11 May 2022

Stayed here while on a stag do, 10 lads and wasn't expecting much after seeing reviews! But location is ideal, it's comfortable, clean and yeah it needs a bit of updating but they're starting that now by the looks of it! Be sure to be careful how many people you pack into the lift, we were over weight limit and got stuck from 4am to 5.30am after a great first night and ended with police, fire brigade and ambulance coming to the rescue lol to pull us out. Some brilliant and cheap bars nearby and a shop right underneath best bar was Sabor over the road for closeness and great food and drinks so cheap!!

To quote the Inbetweeners movie “it was a tense moment, someone was obviously staying here.” Unfortunately on this occasion, that someone was us. When we arrived we were given our keys to the room of doom about 2 minutes down the road in a bar by a random bloke, who asked for a €200 deposit per room which was weird but the pints were €1.50 so fair play. When we first entered the room I was greeted with my bed for the next 3 nights, the infamous cheese on toast mattress (pictured). The rest of the room was about as clean as Kerry Katona’s OnlyFans. We woke up on the first morning covered in bites and the whole stag party had to do a covid test just to be safe because I accidentally brushed up against a curtain. Thankfully I’ve recently had my hepatitis and Tetanus jabs. The furniture and amenities date back to the war (the first one). The lift moves at about the same speed as Stephen Hawking climbing Mount Everest. I brought my swimming shorts but it turned out that I didn’t need them as the pool was fenced off, so I can only presume Michael Barrymore hosted a party there the week before. To be fair to Aquarium 2, the €200 deposit (which is more than we paid for the room) we did get back on the last morning at checkout from an extremely confused Guus Hiddink lookalike who didn’t speak a word of English (the only member of staff we saw in 4 days). I would end by comparing this hotel to one of the greatest man made disasters and loss of innocent life of the twentieth century, but some of those buildings in Chernobyl do look quite upmarket in comparison. Pros: The shower had more pressure on it than Bukayo Saka in the Euro 2020 final. Toilet managed to flush everything our stag party unleashed at it. Location. Cons: Eyesore. If they picked it up and put it in Ukraine, it would receive some humanitarian funding. One of the stag party invited back a blind prostitute and even she laughed at him. Overall it was cheap, dirty, nasty and we look forward to returning next year.
