    We had a wonderful stay at Barceló La Nucía Hills. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff were always friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was modern, clean, and very comfortable, with beautiful views that made the stay even more relaxing. We also really enjoyed the food — fresh, tasty, and with a great variety.     Amazing hotel

    We traveled as a group of friends and this hotel was perfect. It was very clean and tidy and the rooms were nice and modern and had all the necessities you needed. Only thing to mention was that there was a life guard that was like a hall watching over everybody. He told this child off for playing in the pool and he wasn’t actually doing anything silly he was just swimming around and in the jacuzzi it just seemed a bit harsh. But other then that everyone form reception to the bar to the restaurant where amazing and so kind. Would definitely love to return.     The hotel was a hidden gem - just ten minutes from the hustle and bustle of Benidorm. The reception team (in particular Rachel) were fantastic. She is a real credit to the team and went out of her way to provide amazing service throughout our stay... even when I couldn't remember my room number. We had a suite which was great - a large balcony and plenty of space to enjoy some down time in between activities. It would be good if the kitchen areas were a little more equipped with glasses and cutlery and a couple of plates etc as this would have been more convenient. That said - anything that you wanted you could get from the reception team. The location was ace, so quiet and "tucked away" with the sister site just a few minutes walk from our hotel and equally as nice. The setting is lovely and the grounds and buildings are super clean and well maintained. There are a variety of pools and the roof top bars at each hotel site are quite a nice addition. The price was also incredible! Definitely worth being that little bit further out from the centre of Benidorm to have this level of serenity and cleanliness. The service from the poolside bar was not great. There was a real lack of frequency for people coming to take an order - don't get me wrong, we weren't on a session, but to have someone coming around the pool every half an hour would be good for customers and their revenue. The service when you did order was very slow (literally thirty minutes for a round of five drinks). Breakfast had a nice selection, but the quality wasn't amazing. The setting was again really clean and the team were super friendly and helpful. They also have a live egg station which is good as the "full English" option they have is tepid in temperature. I would thoroughly recommend going to Altea - a short taxi ride from the hotel and a beautiful place to go that is steeped in tradition.     Excited to come back but very disappointed

    I visited the hotel at the end of last year and stayed in a Junior Suite. Had a fabulous stay and excellent value for money. This time I was quite disappointed. Booked a junior suite again, but it was in a different building to last time and it was smaller and in need of a refurb. Bedding was dirty and no mattress protector, just a sheet on a stained mattress. Clumps of hair in the shower tray, blocking the drain and overall cleanliness poor. Asked to switch rooms but told none available. Tried to book a spa session, but spa only opened at 4-8pm and when I turned up at 4. I was told to comeback at 5pm to use the spa but no one was in it at 4pm. Also 29 euros for one hour was too much and should be available for hotel guests to use for longer than an hour. Had wonderful treatments in the La Nucia Palms, therapist was called Denise and she was extremely professional and had a fantastic massage and facial. Food in the pool bar was excellent as was the service. Very disappointed at check out as paid my bill and receptionist asked if I required a taxi. When I said that my car was there, he asked if I had parked in the hotel car park and as I did, the charge was 19 euros per night! This information had not been given at check in and when I contested it, was told that there was nothing he could do, I had to pay it. I think it’s absurd to charge so much when there would be nowhere else to park around the hotel and the car park was practically empty. 19 euros a night is far too much. If I stayed here again, I would make sure I booked a newer junior suite (in the building that the main restaurant is in) and see if I could find cheaper parking somewhere.
