  ?Beautiful hotel on the outside, but major drawbacks for location, staff, and inclusivity

  ??Pros:?The Meliá Benidorm is undeniably a visually stunning hotel; the architecture and aesthetic areas are gorgeous to look at. Rooms are lovely and spacious. ?Cons:?Isolation / Location: The hotel is located very far out from the main strip and the beach. Walking is a major challenge, and anyone with mobility issues would definitely need to hire a scooter just to get around outside the hotel grounds.?Accessibility / Layout: Even within the property, the pool area feels too far away and poorly positioned relative to the rooms, making getting around a daily hurdle.?Staff & Service: Unfortunately, the staff were not friendly at all. We were not made to feel welcome, which put a damper on the entire experience.?All-Inclusive Disparity: There was a very noticeable and disappointing divide in how guests were treated based on whether or not they were on an all-inclusive package. Non-all-inclusive guests were treated quite differently, which felt unwelcoming and unfair.we were even charged one euro for two cubes of ice when we asked for water to take medication. They also charge for charging scooters two euro a night and kept unplugging our scooter charger when we didn't pay it resulting in a trip to the police station to report our charger missing. ?Overall Verdict:While the Meliá Benidorm looks beautiful on the surface, there is something severely lacking in the overall guest experience, service, and accessibility to make it a truly enjoyable stay. We were ultimately very disappointed with our holiday here and wouldn't choose to return

  Stayed previously and have already booked for next year. The hotel is a little dated. We booked the Level experience. The room was clean, bed comfortable with all the amenities. High floors rooms get the best views but this could cost extra. The staff in the Level Lounge are excellent (thank you to Selina, Yuleisy, Anyelina and Eva). And in the Lounge breakfast area, thank you to Rosa, Veronica and Patricia for their friendliness and smiles. Food - generally pretty OK and you will always find something to eat. As mentioned, the hotel is getting a little dated but the hardworking staff more than make up for it. Also, thank you to Javier at main reception for his help and travel advice and General Manager, Manuel.   No way a 4 star

  I found the room very dated and dark, my room. Beds very hard could not sleep Was offered to have my room cleaned at 4pm? Both times I was ones in room .what this that about It’s no way a 4 star 3 at a push. Only friendly staff are those working at bar next to the entrance most just walk past you.   Currently staying at the Melia Benidorm.(Level). Check in process for Level customers is great ! You have your own private desk...if you happen to have another guest checking in at the same time....relax and have a drink in the chilled surroundings followed by a member from the level showing both you and your luggage to the room.Ok the room is a little tired from a decor point of view but has all the amenities and things you'd expect of a 4star hotelClean,tidy and plenty of hot water.It is a large hotel ...but plenty of space both in the lounge and by the pool that you dont feel crowded.The Level lounge for me is a must ! If you're not satisfied with what's on offer or the service the staff provide ,your harder to please than me ! Breakfast , snacks and all day drinks in relaxed surroundings.Main dining room is as expected in a large hotel based on a self serve buffet style...it is big and noisy but what do you expect..there's food to suit all tastes, maybe a little bland but if you want or need something extra there's plenty out there in Benidorm.I would definatley stay here again.   After arriving at 12 o’clock, we was told our room wasn’t ready, but the young girl in the level checking area told us she would inform us when the room is ready at 2 o’clock we was told it was ready. We went up to the room and was disgusted. The enamel was off the bath. The frame round the wardrobe was hanging off the wall on the toilet seat was all chipped so I went back downstairs to say the room wasn’t suitable. You’d have to find as a new one which they said they would do,but first the level manager came up. And admitted that the room was disgusting for the money we paid. We had to wait till 5:15 pm. To get a new room. Which was a little better and as apologies they sent us a bottle of fizz up which bearing in mind we was all inclusive The food in the restaurant was very very bland and much the same day in day out this was the worst Melia hotel I have ever stayed in one good point about the hotel was the wonderful staff Hotel Manager, Owner at Melia Benidorm, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent stay.We are very grateful for your kind words about our wonderful staff.We are sorry that the first room was in such poor condition and that the room change kept you waiting until early evening.
