  Booked for convenience & loved it. My wife and I were attending the Valencia vs Elche match at the Mestalla Stadium. I was looking for a value for money hotel within walking distance and this definitely was a wise decision. Staff were lovely, indoor pool & sauna. Very clean room, fabulous breakfast 8€, parking 16€ Can't say anything more important than we will definitely stay there again Olympia Grupo, Dueño at Hotel Olympia Consul del Mar, responded to this review Thank you very much for your opinion

  Hotel Olympia Consul del Mar is a decent hotel with excellent staff, okay breakfast and a really good location, making it convenient to go both to the downtown and beach. The room is nothing spectacular, but it is decent and the staff is truly putting strong effort to keep everything clean.

  Marvellous value, neat and elegant hotel with small pool/ sauna halfway between historic centre and beach . Walking distance to science museum / oceanografic . The bus system is more usable here than the metro . Good selection of local cafes / shops. Excellent staff.

  We had a double room & a twin room, both of which were clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good - a selection of hot & cold. Other positives were the excellent air conditioning & very friendly staff. It’s not a luxury hotel but very good value for money.

  Don’t like children!

  Extremely disappointed I assumed it would be child friendly as they offer rooms with bunk beds but clearly they don’t like children being there! We went for a family wedding so I fully understand a city isn’t the usual kids holiday but we made the most of it and looked for a hotel with a pool which this one had on the way to the pool my kids and my nephews where very excited so while walking down the corridor they where loud for about 5/10 minutes tops we did shh them but they are kids after all and we love seeing them happy but the manager didn’t agree she was rude and assaulting as she was kind enough to Point out we are not in Benidorm and we need to keep the kids quite! Keeping in mind it was 3pm so not late or early she came to us very aggressively rather than ask us nicely.The room was dirty and the bathroom shower leaked the bath jets didn’t work our door chain was removed on day 2 and breakfast was extremely basic. If you are visiting with young children, I wouldn’t come here. In fact, there were other guests in our hotel who complained about the screaming, running and noise of your children, barefoot and in swimming trunks, running through the corridors of the hotel. They were knocking on the bedroom doors of other people staying in the hotel, some of whom were napping, and in response to this behaviour you were politely invited to keep an eye on your children. No time is a good time to disturb others. Please bear this in mind for future trips. We would have done the same if the complaint had been yours. Many children travel to our city and some, of course, stay at our hotel. I assure you that we love children, you can see the pictures, also at the pool.On the other hand, during your stay we were not notified of any of the other complaints that have now arisen, so we remind you that we are at reception 24 hours a day and we would have attended to any problem that you had communicated to us.
