Me and my partner were really looking forward to staying at this hotel after reading the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was the exact opposite.When we entered our first room we were immediately met with a very strong sewage smell. The floor was dirty, the toilet was unfresh with hair in the shower and dirt in the sink. The bed had stains and hair from previous guests, and the balcony was extremely dirty and unkempt.We complained to the staff and had to change rooms, but the other room was actually even worse. The sewage smell was even stronger, the shower was very dirty, the towels had stains, the balcony was just as unfresh and the bed had even more hair and stains. Worst of all, it was crawling with small insects on the floor, which was very unpleasant. I have never experienced anything like this and was really disgusted.Another thing that is good to know is that the rooms are very responsive. Even though both the doors and windows were closed, I could hear the neighbors' conversations clearly.The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is also worth knowing that the staff did not speak English, which made communication more difficult.In the end, my partner and I decided to leave the hotel because of the bad experience. Beautiful view, original, very decent breakfast, comfortable bedding and apart from this dog from a house downstairs that barks loudly and for a long time, (but for which the hotel has nothing to do), it is quiet and we sleep well.As negative points:the cleaning was not very well done. It's not clean. And that is unacceptable.A mattress protector and pillow protectors under the covers would be a very useful addition. At the very least, a strip would be useful, as there is no lamp if you are charging your phone. Finally, there is no towel rail or heating in the bathroom, so the towels are wet and never dry, and it is cold at night and in the morning, especially during our stay in early February. Oh, and bathrobes are provided, which is great, except they don't have a belt. This morning, at breakfast time, the tables weren't set. One customer had to ask to have the peels of the freshly squeezed oranges removed because they overflowed from the tray. That's unprofessional.This property is not up to scratch. Not a hotel but a Bed & Breakfast

The suites are spacious, light with a great vieuw. However, in the information it said that it is a hotel with a cocktail bar and restaurant (simple menu). We were there in May and in effect it was a Bed & Breakfast because both restaurant and cocktail bar were closed (same area). That means that you had to find a place to eat/drink by car. Not ideal.
