Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers and families, this resort lies in the heart of Benidorm, about 5 minutes from the beach. The nearest shops can be reached within about 300 m.

Facility

The complex has 7 lifts and features 468 non-smoking rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a car hire service, an alarm call service, a laundry service, 2 conference rooms, a projector and a photocopier are available. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). A bicycle hire service (for a fee) gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. In some rooms, a terrace is included as standard. Guests may safely secure their valuables in a safe for an additional fee. Extra comforts include a mini fridge. A direct dial telephone, satellite television and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer is also provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products.

Sport

The spacious pool area, which includes 2 outdoorpools, is a great place for guests to relax and take a refreshing dip. Even on cool days, swimming is always at option at the indoor pool. Kids can splash around in one of the 2 children's pools. A waterslide provides fun for all ages. Comfortable sun loungers are available on the sun terrace. Leisure activities and facilities at the hotel include table tennis and a solarium or, for a fee, massage treatments. A wellness area with a hydrojet massage is available in the complex.

Meals

Dining facilities include a café and a bar. Warm hospitality and a cosy atmosphere await guests in 2 non-smoking restaurants. Half board can be booked. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will satisfy appetites big and small. Diet meals and gluten-free meals are available. The chefs will also prepare children's meals for an additional charge. The hotel also offers snacks. The complex offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    When we got to the resort we were told that check in was at 4 and that we were booked in another section of the hotel so we left our bags and went out for a look around.On returning after 4 we were then told that we had to pay a deposit of €150 for damage/breakages etc which would be returned once the room was checked at the end of the stay. This was unexpected, then we were told we had to put wristbands on to use all the facilities in that hotel as our room was in another building down the road!!! We chose that hotel because of the pictures we saw on their website and thought they looked lovely and modern. Ok, not happy about this at all, we got to this hotel, couldn’t get internet. We saw the maid once for clean towels and then at the end of the stay. It seemed like they were putting all British people in this hotel and the Spanish in the nicer resort.     Ignore the negative reviews, it’s a good hotel for the price. Staff were really friendly, room was cleaned every day, and the food was very reasonable. The pool area is a sun trap and there are always lots of loungers available. Hotel is perfect distance from the nightlife and the old town so you can experience both with no hassle. The only advice I would give is that the outdoor pool is not heated so if you go in spring time like we did it might be a bit nippy for some.Overall we had a lovely time.     Ignore the bad reviews, overall it’s a good hotel. We only had breakfast which was pretty much the same every morning but the quality was good so we didn’t mind. Location is great, pool is good. I would come back

    Booked a last minute deal. Had a great experience, hotel was spotless, plenty of sun loungers, great food and perfect location! Right on the cusp of both old and new town. 5 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Rooms were well equipped, we asked for a lower floor and were granted this with a lovely pool view.     I’ve stayed here a few times, it is slightly dated but the beds are comfy and I love the location being a fan of the Old Town. My recent stay wasn’t as enjoyable, there was clearly a large tournament or sports event taking place in or near Benidorm and the Poseidón Resort was base for quite a few teams, this meant there were teenagers running up and down corridors late into the night shouting and slamming doors. They were shouting and running around th restaurant whilst people were trying to enjoy their meals. On one occasion I rode up in a lift with an elderly Spanish couple and as we reached our destination floor, members of these teams were shoving to get in the lift without even giving anyone the chance to get out first, the poor lady looked so shaken when she got out of the lift. The pools were both full of screaming teenagers; we all don’t mind the noise of people having fun but it was like being in a playground and there seemed to be no adults around keeping an eye on them and their behaviour, and given the noise they were making it was very hard to relax in the sunshine. It feels like the hotel has accommodated these large, unruly, poorly controlled groups at the cost of other people’s enjoyment of their holiday. Having stayed here several times and at their other hotel in Poniente I probably won’t stay with them again. I will say a loud altercation broke out between a Spanish couple in the room next door one evening and once I alerted reception to the escalating violence they were quick to deal with the matter and dealt with a booking issue quickly for me but there were sadly a lot of negatives to this trip.
