This hotel affords a quiet hilltop location in Playa del Albir, only a short stroll from the shingle beach and the sea. Bars and restaurants and bars are to be found in the immediate vicinity, whilst the town and tourist centre can be reached within 10 minutes on foot. Benidorm (4 km away) can be reached by taking advantage of a regular bus service and Alicante airport is situated approximately 65 km from the hotel.

Facility

82 non-smoking rooms are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library.     Not the best Reception rude at times, very dry. As if they don’t care. Cafe bar very good service. Rooms very basic, pool tiny, cleanliness could have been better. Noise a bit much from other residents.

    Cold Food, Rude Staff, No Service – Absolute Nightmare

    PLEASE READ! This hotel is one of the worst hotels I’ve been to. Everything from the food to the facilities to the service was terrible! If you are thinking of booking this hotel, don’t book it with dinner because it’s absolute trash—cold food, dirty plates, bland food, and unwelcoming staff. The same goes for breakfast, but dinner is where the real disappointment lies.The pool area is okay, but there is no music and no service at all. I never saw the chairs getting cleaned or anything. The only time there was service was when we had taken snacks and drinks to the pool and someone from reception saw us through the camera and sent someone over to tell us off. This hotel is quite observant of everything a guest does but never what they themselves do—such as taking plates from guests when they haven’t finished eating and not having a good attitude. The only ones with a good attitude were the young lady at reception and one cleaning lady.Don’t come here if you are looking to relax, because you are always watched. They also don’t offer free water at dinner and won’t let you bring your own, which really was the cherry on top for this low-class hotel.

    On previous visits to Albir we had stayed at a seafront hotel and in a beautiful apartment. This time we stayed at Rober Palas on a cricket tour, as the hotel had been recommended by the local club.The location is good, in a quiet side street yet very close to Avenida Albir with its restaurants, and just about walking distance from the seafront.Check-in was quick (we arrived after the main group). However, when I saw the room, which was very basic, and the bathroom which was truly awful, I wanted to go elsewhere straight away. We stayed only because of the group.The room was extremely basic with virtually no amenities. The beds were not bad, though. The bathroom was a relic from the previous century. Getting in and out of bathtub (the shower was inside the tub) was quite hazardous, because of the design, and my partner slipped and fell on one occasion. The water temperature was extremely difficult to regulate, it was either boiling hot or very cold. The fittings on the tub were very shabby. And the provided 'toiletries' consisted of tiny sachets of the cheapest shower gel.The breakfast room was in the basement, and the buffet was at the low end of average. Not much choice for vegetarians, so we usually just had some muesli, a banana, and a slice of toast (or a croissant if they weren't stale). The coffee from the machine was pretty awful and watery, so I switched to tea. The staff were quite pleasant.The bar on the ground floor is pretty non-descript, service ok, nothing special, but there are some outdoor tables.I had been looking forward to the pool area which looked nice in the hotel photos but turned out to be a building site. I hope that has changed by now. After all this criticism I have to say, that prices were less than we had paid for the other hotel or the apartment. My expectations were probably too high, so taking into consideration that this is a budget place I have rated this hotel 'average' rather than 'poor'.

    the customer serves isn't great in the bar and could do with some improvement but is good compared to other surrounding hotels. the pool is great and is very refreshingly cold after a day in town. the jacuzzi like thing above the pool is great too. lacking a life guard on duty but thats okay. there is always a sunbed to use and the people there are lovely. there is a great selection of snacks and drink in the bar which is great and the entertainment there is good. rooms are what you usually get and are no better nor worse than any other surrounding 3* hotel

    Have driven from Norway to drop of a car in Albir and look for a place to crash. Got a nice room and sta for to day’s. We payed 95€ for 2 nigths but no breakfast. The rom was comfy and very nearby sentrum
