Fabulous apartments near the old town

    rating10 Nov 2025

We stayed for 2 weeks in September/Oct 2025. I was a bit worried as there were very few reviews on UK websites. I can only assume that these apartments are booked by Spanish tourists so not well known to UK tourists? The location is great, a couple of minutes walk to the old town. Our apartment (we had a 3rd floor 2 bed apart) appeared freshly refurbished (apparently in 2020) but so clean and well maintained. The fridge/freezer and washing machine appeared new, the good quality air con. units were in every bedroom and the living room and worked well. The apartments are managed by the Agua Azul across the road and they dealt with our queries very well. We would not hesitate to return to these apartments, they really were a home from home.

Stylish Base In An Awesome Location

    rating02 Nov 2023

Stayed here for a few nights on my recent trip. The location of the apartments is fantastic - right in the centre and just a short walk into the old town or the beach. There was plenty of on street parking and the bus stop is almost right outside. It's obvious that the apartments have been recently refurbished and are very stylish. The beds and pillows are super comfortable and the shower made me feel like new! There was a decent sized pool with sunbeds but I didn't get time for a dip! There are loads of restaurants and bars nearby and event though its central I managed to get a decent nights sleep! I loved the UK TV channels as well! Nice touch.

    Sad & Faded

    rating18 Sept 2017

A fairly unique round tower block located just to the east of the heart of Old Town Benidorm. The apartments themselves are fairly run down, worn out, sad and depressing. And not even cheap to rent. The block consists of some commercial offices and over 120 apartments. Studios, 1 bed and 2 bed. Some are in private hands and some are rented. The building is located very conveniently, with a good mini supermarket and restaurant located on the buildings concours. Administration for the rented apartments is done from the Hotel Agua Azur on the opposite side of the Via Emilio Ortuño. You collect and drop off your keys there. It has 24 hour reception so no matter what time you wish to collect your keys, they are open. The main reception area is usually unmanned at the San Jamie. The reception area is all mirrors and a period 1970s ceiling. Unusually the two lifts are back to back with each other. Possibly due to the unique shape of the building. There is a staircase, and also an exterior emergency staircase to all floors. There is a caretaker around cleaning the floors and tidying the buildings public areas. On entering our rented Studio room we where met with a pungent smell of stale tobacco. Despite booking a non smoking room, we where given a smoking room. Air conditioning, which was listed when we booked, was non existent. The furniture was very basic, and in generally pretty poor condition. The beds very un-comfy and worn out. The sofa tatty and positioned against a loose fitting electrical socket with wiring exposed. The balcony was nice (as the apartment was listed without one) but only had one chair. The room had been cleaned, but not very well. A bundle of dust and someone else's hair blew out from underneath the hallway table. And don’t put your shoes under the beds, they will come out dirty. A TV set is provided. The kitchenette was grubby and near useless. The 2 ring hob worked ok, the fridge, missing its handle worked. Only one cup, and several dirty glasses, including a single wine glass that had been used at one point as an ash tray. One of the kitchen cupboards was falling apart, and a damaged worktop, which is simply unhygienic. A few dirty greasy mismatched plates, random similarly greasy cutlery, odd ball pans, NO kettle or toaster. A new gas boiler had been fitted outside on the balcony with pipes running across the room, and a load of holes and pipes where the original boiler had once been fitted inside. It just looked sad, and needed a proper cleaning. The bathroom was OK. Toilet (one tenth of a toilet roll provided), hand basin (no plug provided), bath with shower over it, and a bidet. It wasn’t too bad apart from the water which leaks badly from the apartment above. So someone else's dirty water was dripping on to you. A washing machine is also fitted in here. Noise levels where very high. Even at night. And with no air con there is no choice but to leave the windows and balcony doors open. The external pool was fine. Clean and tidy. It’s the 21st century. The apartment we rented is in a fairly shocking condition. It desperately needs a deep clean, new beds, sofa, chairs, kitchen and air-con. Plus remedial work to the dripping ceiling in the bathroom. As it stands, it is sub even the most basic of standards. Summary. Find somewhere else to stay.
