  This hotel is located in a good spot, just the other side of Benidorm beach, and a 10 minute walk to the old town.The food is very good, good choice and the waitresses are lovelyCleavers are hardworking and friendlySo now the negatives…Very Hard bedsNoisy doors on the rooms,Sofa bed, is like laying in the floor, no comfort and the thinnest mattress you’ve seenLifts, always out of order, quicker to walkChill bar on 9th floor is a nice touch, but the don’t look after it, they play the same 5 songs, and it’s a bit shabbyYou have to Pay for safe, 3 euros per day, which is expensiveThe Bar area is disjointed, you have to leave the hotel to get a drink, it’s like they hired a shop next door, and you don’t have any comfortable places to sit outsideLights in restaurant are far too bright as well as the area you can sit outsideWe had No idea had another bar and disco area as no one told us,No entertainmentWi fi was very intermittentYou have to pay 1 euro to get a cup to get a drink in the pool area, you do get this back but it’s a faffPool lift location is a bit odd, you have to take stairs/another lift to itSmall pool area, 20 beds, with a couple of day beds, which are in the shade so would hate to be here in the height of the summer as there will be no roomOverall this hotel is sub standard, Dirección Villa del Mar, General Manager at Villa del Mar Hotel, responded to this review Dear 100psb,Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your stay at Hotel Villa del Mar.We are pleased to know that you appreciated our beachfront location, the quality and variety of our gastronomy, and particularly the friendliness and dedication of our restaurant and housekeeping teams. In addition, we have an entertainment venue on the lower floor, where different musical activities and performances are organised. We appreciate your observation regarding the information provided about these facilities, as we understand how important it is for guests to be aware of all the services available.Concerning our rooftop Chill-Out terrace, we are glad you appreciated this space, and we will share your comments regarding its atmosphere and maintenance with the relevant department.Our swimming pool and outdoor areas reflect the characteristics and dimensions of our beachfront hotel. Nevertheless, we understand that their size and layout may not meet every guest's expectations.We would also like to clarify that the €1 requested for the reusable pool cup is a fully refundable deposit, introduced as part of our efforts to reduce single-use plastics.   Currently staying at Villa del Mar. Been to Benidorm about 15 times & this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The hotel is lovely, staff are awesome, food is great, premium brand drinks, only criticism are the measures are too big ! Rooms are huge & towel, bed change every day. The roof top bar is the best in Benidorm !!   Really enjoyable 6 day stay.

  Hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the old town and the beech is just across the road. Food was amazing with loads of choices.Drinks package was great with a really good choice of quality spirits although being a bitter drinker I would have liked a bitter on the drinks menu.Roof bar was brilliant. Great facilities in the room and a fridge full of booze free gratis. Staff were helpful and friendly. We would definitely return to the hotel if we ever go back to benidorm.   Cannot get a response from emails sent regarding up coming stay booked direct with hotel in novenber

  I have email reservation, chatted to the useless bit which tells me to talk to staff but cuts me off. I am wanting an accessible room as disabled.   Very lovely modern style hotel. Absolutely stunning and spotless. Just across from the beach. The cleaning team are amazing. Lots to choose from in the restaurant. Only downside was people saving beds round the pool. The bar lady took the towels off. We didn’t know then a load off woman started abusing my husband about moving there towels. So I told her to ask behind the bar. Very rude. But would definitely recommend hotel. But use the beach.
