  Nice hotel in good location

  We really liked this hotel, the room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. Nice size pool with plenty of sun lounges. Location was good, it was an easy walk to Plaza Mayor with lots of cafes and restaurants to choose from, as well as accessing the towns main attractions. We had a car and managed to find street parking just opposite, they do have a loading zone at the front if you want to drop off your bags and then drive and find parking (if nothing in the street near the hotel, try the streets near Leclerc Supermarket)

  an old building adapted to HotelI have spent some nights at this hotel for business reasons in the Extremadura region. I want to mention that the mattresses on the beds were not comfortable enough. I woke up with a dollar back and bad asleep.The breakfast was plentiful and varied.Minimum services, and small staff.   Great find at a sensible price.

  We have stayed 3 nights in the Izan Trujillo. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel and its bedrooms remind me of some of the historic paradores that we have stayed in, but without being anywhere near as expensive. There is secure basement parking at €15 a night. It really is just a 4 minute walk from the hotel into the breathtaking main square of Trujillo with all its restaurants and bars. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and our room was spotless. We did not eat in the restaurant other than breakfast which we enjoyed: their scrambled eggs are excellent!   Never go Back?

  When we stayed here this time last year, I heralded this Hotel as one of the best bargains in Spain. This year we had the same room (116 and expected that same experience. Oh dear! What a difference a year makes. Last year we paid Euros 57 for Bed and Breakfast and a further Euros 10.00 each for the Menu of the day. Tonight for a not so good meal and with breakfast the total is Euros107.00 which is an 39% increase in just 12 months. Moreover my wife had to send back her pork casserole for being too tough to eat, and the white wine that was served was barely drinkable.This is a great shame because the basic framework that won such praise last year is still there. The nice rooms, the magnificent building interior etc. so what's gone wrong? Maybe the focus on seniors coach parties, who knows? But for sure, they are very unlikely to see us again.   Great unique find

  Stayed 2 nights in this fantastic small town, hotel is well situated for walking to main plaza mayor where most of restaurants are. Hotel is unique as it is a former convent, rooms are well equipped, central atrium of hotel is beautiful, with a good restaurant, breakfast was also good, parking available with charge, but free parking is available outside on street & was perfectly secure. All staff were very good, quirky place too stay, we'll worth a stay.
