  Great hotel on a lake

  We found this hotel by chance and loved it. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The restaurant was obviously popular with the locals which enhanced the atmosphere. Food was good and nicely printed.

  A little disappointing

  We had booked to stay at the nearby Hacienda Santastical, but arrived to find it was closed, so ended up at the Hotel Mesón de la Molinera instead. Well situated next to the lake, and close to Arcos, it is a convenient place to stay. However, the rooms are tired and in need of a refit, though the beds were comfortable, the water hot and the staff friendly. The restaurant/bar, though popular with locals, was disappointing and expensive.

  Arrived at hotel late checked in paid my bill then realized I could of got better deal online. Went restaurant food extremely poor and restaurant extremely noisy with a blaring tv in it.Following morning we went for breakfast and to ourHorror the so o called waitress pointed out immediately that breakfast was not included and believe it or not all of the other clients who had paid Less than us is was included I went to reception and try to rectify however I was treat like a second class citizen.So if you want to go to a old haggard hotel with lousy rooms and not to be able to sleep with the noise and the smell of damp and getting ripped of this is the place for you

  Arrived at 8pm, very quiet, 2 or 3 tables taken. Then waited for an hour and a half before complaining we wanted to eat. Waiter brought bread and cutlery and waited...... and waited....... and waited......I understand if it's busy but it wasn't.Walked out in the end.

  This is the 5th year we have stayed at this hotel Every year the food quality gets worse Buildings shabby Now start charging for bacon and eggs for breakfast ( always been free ) Evening meal dreadful no choice , very expensive and we asked for a extra egg on one meal and was charged the going rate of 4€ ( that's 48€ a dozen) We ended up getting a mini bus a dined in arcos town Rating 2/10
