Very nice hotel and staff. But unless you like hiking there is not much in the area. Parking is a nightmare

My wife and I stayed at this hotel which was very nice. The room (102) we stayed in was very spacious and clean, it had everything we really wanted with a Juliet balcony with amazing views of the surrounding landscap. We stayed half board which was quite strange as we had to walk about 50 meters along an alley to the hotel’s restaurant for our evening meal (luckily it was not raining) where to food was also very nice. Our main complaint it that they don’t have a courtesy car to take you too and from the public car park one kilometre away, down a steep narrow winding road with virtually no street lights if you were not lucky enough to find one of the few parking spaces outside the castle.

This hotel is beautiful, situated in a pretty little town, with spectacular views. The hotel was clean and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. We pre-paid for dinner when we booked this hotel. The restaurant was a very short walk from the castle, and the food was pretty good. We were able to choose anything we wanted for the menu and as much as we wanted, all food was prepared on the spot. The “turrón mousse” dessert was excellent. The reason I gave it ???????? is because this hotel is situated uphill on a rocky road, where cars are not allowed to drive to the hotel’s entrance. The parking is also a walks distance from the hotel entrance. Needless to say, I highly suggest you do not bring a big suitcase. We had difficulty walking up with carry-ons. Other than that, we had a great experience.

Charming hotel right in the castle

We didn't stay at the hotel so can't comment on the rooms but we came for a day trip and ended up wandering in to this hotel for a drink. The staff were very welcoming and we had 2 beers, 2 lemonades and 2 packets of crisps for €10 and sat in the castle looking at the view and watching eagles fly overhead. A really perfect moment in our day. Thank you Andres especially!

A wonderful experience in a unique hilltop castle

It was an overnight stay as part of a long distance walk.I cannot remember encountering a more charmingly situauted hotel.My room was remarkable- spacious and on two floors with fantastic views. I asked if all rooms were like that. The answer was unfortunately no, so I encourage you to ask for room 106.Reception was pleasant and helpful.The restaurant, El Aljibe, is in a separate building just down the street and served well.
