Don’t like serving coffee

Stopped off on a tour of the white villages and the hotel was suggested as a place for a coffee. A couple on the same tour ahead of us ordered a coffee at the bar, however when I requested two coffees (in my poor Spanish but I try) I was told with a grin no coffee. I honestly thought he was joking, but no, despite a fully functioning coffee machine that he proceeded to make himself a coffee from, I was told again no coffee. Can only think there is an aversion to tourists. Left baffled.

Stunning!

Simply amazing. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed and certainly the most breathtaking view. Helpful staff, top-end linens added to the experience of this cliffside Andalusian white village. The rooms are super clean and have separate verandas facing an incredible vista. While Zahara is small with not much to do other than enjoy its stunning scenery, treat yourself with a stay at this hotel.

Lovely hotel with a superb view

Perched on the edge of the cliff, this is a perfect place to stay in Zahara, with a lovely view of the azure reservoir and a couple of other hill towns. It's just uphill from the tiny town plaza and in the shadow of the ancient tower on the top of the hill. Our room was large and lovely, with very comfortable beds and a good shower. The restaurant is excellent, the best in Zahara. The staff is friendly and helpful, with good English but also good patience and sense of humor with our attempts at Spanish.

Fantastic panoramic views from the restaurant. We didn't stay in the hotel, but a local recommended the restaurant for the views of the reservoir - They are breathtaking. We had lunch from a good selection of Spanish food at reasonable prices. Recommended for a sit-down meal. Good service from friendly staff without long waits. Clean, comfortable and affordable hotel with an awesome view

We stayed one night at this lovely little hotel, located at the very top of Zahara. We had an amazing view of the lake from our room - truly breathtaking. The room was very affordable, small but very clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but nice. The staff does not speak much English but were very accommodating and nice. Just a few metres from the hotel is the entrance to the climb up the stairs to the castle. The walk is recommended. I would visit this hotel again.
