    A beautiful hostel. I paid for an en-suite room with a balcony. Very clean and spacious. with a lovely view of the street. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The foyer is stunning. Close to the main square and not that far a walk from the beach. As a solo woman traveller, I felt very safe here and Cadiz in general. It's a beautiful place. I'm returning back here in February, even booked this hostel again. Such good value for money.     Nice hostel great location.Rooms were clean and comfortable. Good facilities with 1 spacious bathroom and 1 locker drawer pp with key provided.Kitchen was really big with some basic foods provided. Rooftop was pretty but a little bit untidy. The bar was open at weird times and meant the hostel wasn’t very social. Surfing sessions were offered for ~€25ppLocation was amazing with a 15 min walk to anywhere in the old town.     The worst experience of my life

    The pillows had so much hair on it, the sheets weren’t clean, mold is building in the bathroom and it was dripping down . This hostel is the worst I’ve been in my life. Don’t go there please I just want to help you so they won’t do the same mistakes.     In the middle of the night a middle aged man pulled back my curtain and demanded I change beds with him. I had taken his bed by accident. As it was late at night I pleaded with the manager to put the man in another room as he had been aggressive with me. The manager forced me to change beds. While wearing not much clothes, as it was hot at night, I reluctantly changed beds. At 1am I didn’t feel safe so I had to leave the hostel and find another hotel. Not a safe thing to do in any city.

    I've stayed in many hostels during my travels and this time I stayed for almost 3 weeks at Planeta Cadiz. I absolutely loved everything about my stay there. The location is perfect in the heart of the historic town of Cadiz. The facilities are very clean and you have everything you need. In my dorm room there was even its own bathroom, which is usually on the hallway in other hostels. They also had a dedicated study and work room which was perfect for me as I had to work remotely during my stay. Also, the rooftop was fantastic and made it easy to socialize. Especially, the volunteers made great effort to make everyone feel welcoming and to be part of a little family.The kitchen could be a little bit better equipped, but you basically have everything you need to prepare proper meals!Thank you Planeta Cadiz for this great stay - I'll definitely come back!
