Charming stay in the heart of Cádiz

    rating06 Sept 2026

What stood out to me most about this apart-hotel was how unique and authentic it felt. The courtyard was particularly charming and gave the place a lovely character that you don’t always get with larger hotels. The staff were helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. They are only available at certain times of the day, but this didn’t affect my experience as they were always lovely and helpful whenever I needed them. The location was excellent, right in the heart of the old town of Cádiz, with plenty of great bars and restaurants nearby, as well as everything being within a comfortable walking distance. I also thought the value for money was fantastic, which was actually one of the main reasons I booked the hotel in the first place. The rooftop pool was an added bonus and a great place to relax. It could get quite crowded at times, though, and there aren’t many sun loungers, so it was sometimes difficult to find somewhere to sit. I found that around 6–8pm the pool area became much quieter, and I was usually able to find a lounger then. I think the pool is also closed after September or October, so worth checking with staff before booking (if you would like a pool). The bed was comfortable enough, although it was quite a hard mattress. I know some people love a firmer bed, but I usually prefer something a little softer. The sheets could have been softer too, although I’d say this is more down to personal preference than anything else. I still slept like a log and slept well! Cleanliness was generally fine, although the tiled floors could have been cleaner. There was also an unusual damp smell when entering the room after being out for a while, which was slightly unpleasant. On the positive side, the noise levels were excellent. Our room was more internal, so we couldn’t hear any noise from outside or the surrounding area. We could occasionally hear noise from the rooms above, particularly chairs being moved around, but this wasn’t a major issue.Overall, I had a really good stay. The combination of the character, fantastic location, good value for money and rooftop pool makes this somewhere I would happily stay again and would recommend to others visiting Cádiz.

    Central place to stay

Gorgeous little one-bed apartment, great value. Had everything we could need. Perfectly clean, lovely service at the reception. Really loved the work that they've done on the interior of such an old building.

    Central and comfortable

    rating21 Jun 2025

Our first night was not great as the air-conditioning was not working properly. The next morning we were immediately moved to appartement no. 26 which is situated in the tower and has two very nice outside spaces. Comfortable beds.. Quite well-equipped kitchenettes and good air- con. Good location. Pleasant pool area. Helpful staff. Would willingly return.

    Quiet location, great service

    rating08 Mar 2025

All the staff were fantastic, both cleaners and reception staff. Easy to find on a very quiet street. We parked at Reina Sofia for 3 days which was under a 10 minute walk away, take a ticket in entering and pay on exit. We were sent a key code by reception well in advance so easy to get into the building - through the street door you have a beautiful and calm atrium. Check in is 4pm but we were able to get in at 2pm. All rooms face down into this space: we stayed in room 9 - beware, this seems to have a water tank in the ceiling space or mains pipe running vertically through the wall between bathroom and bedroom that never stops. You don’t notice the noise until the dead of the evening - it’s like having a toilet cistern constantly filling next to your bed. We got no sleep and had to change rooms, moving to room 6 on the ground floor which was far better - the lady on reception was very accommodating to move us. Rooms are spacious with a sofa and kitchenette and huge beds. Showers have great pressure and plenty of heat. We stayed during the Carnaval de Cadiz and this location was super quiet with only one other room taken.

    The Unbiased Review You Need

    rating13 Feb 2025

We stayed at the duplex apartment on the first floor, facing the street.Firstly, reception is not always available at the desk. It’s difficult to communicate with them, book a taxi or anything else you may need. The room was nicely decorated to what appears to be a recent (less than 5 years) renovation. There is a tiny balcony overlooking the street. Up the stairs you enter the bedroom and instantly notice the stuffy air. Despite it being a duplex, there are no windows on the second level so it gets very warm unless you leave the window on the first floor wide open. The bed is king size but the pillows are not very comfortable and rather hard. The lack of air and the not-so-comfortable bedding means you may wake up feeling tired as we did on a few occasions. The other thing that’s lacking is the quality of the WiFi - it’s slow, keeps dropping and is not reliable if you need to do some work or stream. The biggest let-down was the noise. Because you need to sleep with the window open, there will be loud talking from the bar below, screaming, dragging of plastic crates at 6AM — you get the picture. Unless your room is located differently, do not book the street-facing rooms. Overall sentiment is neutral, I would not prefer to book there again, unless it’s a different room. There is a roof-top terrace with a mini swimming pool and nice views. The views look better in the pictures you see online but it is not as good in reality. Verdict: I feel we were catfished into this as it’s not as good as you are made to believe.
