    IT IS A KINDERGARDEN

    rating19 Sept 2023

The location is good, near the beaches and easy to reach by car.The rooms, renovated, are big enough but barely furnished and no decoration at all. It is not dirty but the cleaning service is minimum. The kitchenette has kitchenware but it is badly designed with not enough space to store food. Small fridge with freezing department. The beds are comfy but the pillows are awful, long old fashion sponged filled, very hard. The staff is very kind but not enough to attend when hotel is full. They have entertainment for children on daily basis and instead of doing it in the underground floor, they put music and games in the middle of the atrium and so all the rooms are noisy until after dinner families go back to their rooms. We were in superior rooms, with balcony and nice view to the mountain and the sea, but the noise of the children and -days later- of some groups improvising dance with their mobile's music was very annoying.Another problem is that early morning the water pressure doesn't reach the third floor until breakfast is over and having a individual electric water heater for each apartment is not enough for 4 people that can occupy them. They have one outdoors and one indoors swimming pool. the later is so small that we can barely be 4 or 5 people, but they admit 18 people at once! They have buffet for breakfast and dinner, good price, not sophisticated but good enough quality. In summary, it is a good place only for families middle-low class with small children and for groups, not for couples and not for seniors.

Beautiful apartment but ruined by students partying.

    rating10 May 2023

Absolutely beautiful, modern and super clean apartment. The property seems new and very well taken care of with wonderful facilities. The staff are incredibly friendly and very helpful. I was treated well by them and they took great care of me. What ruined my trip was the torturous noise from the moment I checked in. The place was full of school trips and the students all behaved like animals. They were noisy and completely disrespectful of anyone else staying in the building. It continued every single night until very early into the morning. It wasn’t just a bit of noise, it was absolutely unbearable and even with ear plugs it was too much!! It completely ruined my trip and sadly I wouldn’t ever stay here again, as much as really loved the apartment.

nice place, great views, dingy rooms

    rating11 Aug 2018

Super nice place for families, kitchenette and all in the rooms, no AC, no mosquito net on the Windows, so it is very hot and not an efficient way to open Windows without being surrounded by mosquitoes. We all had many bites both mornings after. There was a dead small cocroach in the bathroom, and eventhough cleaning service was provided, it remained there. It felt dingy all around. Breakfast buffet, was ok, good options for families with small children, mostly a familiar getaway, girls entertaining the kids in the afternoon, arcade, play rooms and so on. Good value, but the beds and rooms felt, repeat, dingy. Crappy wi-fi

A mainly Spanish hotel for Spanish families

    rating18 Oct 2017

Our booking at this hotel was at very short notice after the Monarch airlines went bust and we lost our original holiday. We arrived at Bilbao airport early evening 5/10/17. Hired a car and drove the hour and a half to the hotel. Up in the hills approximately 12 miles from Santander. Reception staff spoke some English but it is very rare to find English spoken in this part of the country though the people are lovely and desperate to be of assistance. The hotel was occupied almost exclusively by the Spanish themselves. Lots of kids which is usually a joy, but the walls are paper thin and every bit of noise feels as if it's in your room. Kids running up and down hallways until the early hours. Our room was over the bar area which was bedlam until the early hours at the weekend. The rooms around ours are all tiled floors and the scraping of chairs and clicking of heels is endless. There is an outdoor pool but it was unusable even though the weather was nice. Green algae, pool furniture scattered about. It was obviously finished with but wasn't drained or covered. Never looked for the indoor pool. Only seen the restaurant open on our first night but I think it was self service for those on half board. Strangely the tables were never cleared away whilst we were there. I mean never. When we ate at the hotel we had our food in the bar area, which was kinda like a canteen with patio area. The staff tried valiantly to help with the menu. I can't recommend this hotel because I wouldn't stay there again myself. The region is exceptional, gorgeous beaches, go to Suance, beautiful hills and mountains. Best nature reserve I've ever been to. Scenery I never imagined to exist and to the area I will go back.

The first impression cannot be corrected

    rating11 May 2017

Te apartment is large and spacious with nice view over the green hills and an empty dirty outdoor pool, which is unprotected and you can fall in the empty pool if you are walking through that area. What is a shame is that we are in the beginning of May, outside is more than 20 degrees and the pool is still empty and even not cleaned.Arriving at reception was quite cold and unwelcome, because the lady at reception who worked there on 4th May 2017 at 14 pm had obviously bad day and she worked like robot. She doesn't want to speak with me English and gave me all instructions in Spanish although I spoken with her in English and I don't understand Spanish. The beds are very uncomfortable, hard and sagging.
