  This is not a hotel + room smells terrible.

  The room smells terrible. It was like sleeping in a smokey-room with pets in it.I also think that there are family’s living in this ‘hotel’. You can not call this a hotel.The city centre is nearby and you can park the car for free. But I never go back here.

  This is our fourth visit to this marvellous establishment. We cannot fault the rooms, make sure that you book one overlooking the gardens at the back. The staff are very hardworking and helpful always with a smile. Every request met with a smile and completed with aplomb. The breakfast is very good, the ambience first class, the room decode is clean and in keeping with the hotels age but with modern facilities. Car parking very secure. No restaurant as such but being in the centre of town many good eateries within a few yards.

  Staff friendly enough but did not speak English as mentioned in their blurb - would have been in difficulty if hadn't spoken a bit of Spanish myself. Blurb also states rooms are soundproofed - definitely not Room 303 that's for sure: could hear everything and more from next door! Breakfast included but very poor - packets of biscuits and cake, margarine and peach jam. Toast is available but you have to make it yourself. Having said that,beds comfortable and room and ensuite spotlessly clean. Will be going to Torrelavega again in May but will look for somewhere else to stay.

  well located but very dark

  The hotel is well located in the centre of Torrelavega quite near the modern church of La Virgen Grand and the important mercado de granado Jesus Collado Soto. People are very kind and helpful, but the conditions for a 3 star hotel are poor. No view except room 404 towards the street and the front avenue and a public school, where you can hear the noise. Breakfast very poor. Just a piece of bread, an individual pack of butter and another of marmalade, coffee and milk, or tea. No juice. Just water. Meals almost every day with fried potatoes. Corridor next to room bears this smell, which is awkful! Two elevators for a 4 storey hotel. Turistic map of Torrelavega available at desk. Decoration is dark. Only one side table, no fridge, but has hair dryer. TV old fashion small box in room 404. The best room for view.

  A wonderful retreat in a busy tourist village

  This is almost a boutique hotel, wonderful history, beautiful Jacobean staircase, large comfortable rooms. Friendly helpful staff. This was our second stay and very good value for money.
