Have to love a Paradore

Lovely old converted building into a hotel. Didn’t find much info on what the building used to be. Fantastic location in the old town. Bedroom was massive, bar fridge. Bathroom was also massive. Shower over the bath. Elevator. Not sure about parking but we found a park on the street for €13 a day and night. Room had air conditioning. Restaurant and bar on site. We ate on the patio as it has an all day menu, open non Spanish hours. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the hamburger, best we have ever had. Just love these old buildings as they are always, lovely, very clean and well run with the best staff. Interesting property with character in busy tourist hot spot

Hotel is set in a idillic old town square.On check-in the receptionist was extremely helpful.We were shown to our room. Om the first floor which was clean and offered everything needed with the exception of a hotel directory and price list for laundry.We ate in restaurant first night, meal was okay although my beef was a little tough.The hotel car park is challenging if driving anything larger than a Mini. It is up and around a narrow road with a sharp bend.The staff in general were very pleasant although the stand out member who was exceptionally attentive was the young man Lucas. Breakfast was okay although but restaurant was bland and needed more character and colour.It is on the tourist trail therefore quite busy. beautiful building in a perfect setting but slow service and a very poor cup of coffee. the internal decor of the parador were sopt on but unable to provide a decent cup of coffee. as i say, disapointed.

Interesting building in perfect location. Generous food portions. It sometimes took quite a while to be served in the bar and some staff were a little sullen but Vanesa Noriega was very pleasant, helpful and smiling. We would recommend this parador, as indeed we would others. Very convenient car park. It would have been helpful if clear, precise driving instructions were made available prior to arrival. Perhaps sent out at the time of booking? Non Spanish drivers need a little bit more help as the road are unfamiliar.

Lovely Parador making it work in a Covid world...

This Parador is in lovely medieval village - warm stone buildings, lovely cobbled streets and some great bars and restaurants. Be warned it can get very busy in the summer...The Parador is very friendly and very covid compliant. Rooms are good and well equipped with strong safety measures. The restaurant is in the Gil Blas Parador 20 metres away and its delight. We sat outside and had an excellent meal with local cheese, vegetarian salad and steak - it was very good. Service was efficient.In the morning breakfast was slower than normal due to the pressure on staff but they managed this well. There was the usual excellent selection of cheese, fruit and meats. The only advice I would offer is to make it clear that you can order hot food such as fried eggs or bacon but this wasn't clear.This was another great stay...
