Basic hotel, would not go back, parking limited to street parking if available.

This is a very basic hotel, there is no assistance from the front desk, location is far from everything, except the beach, very little options to eat near by, rooms a very small snd the breakfast was ok

Clean, quiet and a surprisingly good breakfast

We stayed at Suite Home Sardinero for a few days in October on a mini city break: The cheap cost of RyanAir flights made it very inexpensive to get there, and I do love to explore "real" cities. We had read some of the other reviews previously, especially about the "room behind reception" which some folks fund noisy. We didn't - it was a great room: We were never disturbed by other guests, but I guess this has a lot to do with them, and not with the hotel itself. The room was immaculate, clean, and comfortable; but it was the bathroom that was really special! Brand new, modern, and with plenty of room in the lovely hot shower. There was some quirky furniture in the room, and an iron bedframe with a comfy mattress. The staff were friendly, and helpful, and the room was serviced daily. The hotel is situated on the other side of the hills from the main centre of Santander, but it's either a pleasant half-hour walk past the stadium into town, or a short bus ride for a couple of Euros (and the buses we used take contactless debit cards). It seems to be in a fairly quiet residential area.Reception is staffed during the day only, though I believe there is an emergency-only contact bumber for the evening.Breakfast was buffet-style continental, but there was a fabulous selection of meat, cheese, bread, cereal, pastries, yoghurt, tea, coffee, cake... basically everything you need to set you up for the day. One thing worth pointing out is accessibility: Whilst the ground floor of the hotel itself is fine for those with disabilities, the path from the street to the hotel itself is steep. Those with mobility issues might find the climb tricky, so take note and check Streetview before you book if you think this might be a problem. Also bear in mind that Santander itself isn't as "touristy" as some Spanish cities, and whilst some of the staff speak a little English (and one or two speak excellent English), it might not be as easy to communicate as some more popular destinations: Luckily, my partner speaks excellent Spanish, so it was never a problem, but it's worth swotting up on some schoolkid Spanglish before you land (so true wherever you travel - us English are very lazy!)Overall, this hotel is excellent, and I would recommend it for anyone active wishing to explore Santander.

A perfect place to stay at in Santander!

    rating20 Mar 2022

I do travel a lot and this may be one of my favorite places I ever stayed at. I literally can't think of a single thing that could be improved - everything was perfect! The stuff was extremely nice (thank you once again for offering your help with the taxi, for an early breakfast and for all the information given! :) The breakfast was perfect, the location just 15min walking to one of the most beautiful beaches not only in Santander but in whole Spain! The room was spacious, clean and cozy and the bathroom absolutely beautiful with everything you need. Thank you, we will be coming back soon, no doubt! :)

The rooms are nice with a small sofa in there. The bathroom is nice the a walk in and rain dance shower. There is even a hairdryer and two separate wash bowl. The only thing was that the breakfast was served a bit late at 08:15am.

    Superb

    rating27 May 2019

My wife and I stayed here as we were passing through on the way to Ponferrada where we were starting the Camino. This is a superb small hotel with a budget price and anything but budget service and facilities. The welcome is warm and sincere. This place has clearly had a fairly recent refurbishment and all of the finishes are of a superior quality. The room was clean and bright with a large comfy bed. The bathroom was very large with a walk in shower. There are many little extras like a comb, toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste. There is a coffee machine on the landing with a big jar of biscuits. The hotel is within a couple of minutes walk from the beach & local eating places and around a €6 to €10 taxi ride into town. Local buses stop about 100 yards from the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. I had left our return flight boarding passes at home, it was no problem for them to be printed out. We will definitely return.
