Terrific value, friendly service, surprisingly good restaurant. We paid nearly 4X as much at our hotel in Barcelona for a mediocre experience. If you are staying in Castellon de la Plaza you can't go wrong here. Wonderful Stay in Castellon

    rating14 Feb 2026

The Hotel Luz is perfectly located near the main train station and bus terminal, and us eaasy walking distance to all of the main attractions. The hotel has a gourmet restaurant with elevated cuisine, but your morning coffee is available for €2.20 per person, making it great value as well. The corner suite we had for the first night was perfect, but even the standard rooms are spacious and comfortable. Excellent hotel. Hotel Luz Castellón, Atención al cliente/recepción at Hotel Luz Castellon, responded to this review Dear Anna, thank you very much for your fantastic review. Excellent hotel and price. Very dog friendly, with bowls and bedding provided, plus a park close by. Very easy to find, with 2 levels of secure parking, plus some on street. Had dinner, and it was superb. Fantastic fresh, quality food, prepared and presented very well. Top service all around. The junior suites are large, and excellent value for money. A few cafes bars n restaurants within a couple of mins, but not much else. Perfect stopover hotel Hotel Luz Castellón, Atención al cliente/recepción at Hotel Luz Castellon, responded to this review Thank you very much for your extensive comment. Mostly good but...

    rating20 Jun 2024

I'll start with the positives- the proximity to the train station is a huge plus if you are arriving by train. The very best part of the hotel is the restaurant! The food is excellent and innovative while the staff are amazing! It's rare to have hotel food this good. The rooms are very clean and good sized. Now the less than positive: The front desk staff seem indifferent and bored, quite the contrast to the hotels in Valencia we stayed at (Helen Berger, Westin). They could definitely kick it up a notch to make guest feel welcome rather than an inconvenience. The location by the train station is good, but the neighborhood for restaurants isn't the best. My biggest complaint is battling the room thermostat that seemed to always return to a very warm temperature in the night that makes sleeping difficult. Hotel LUZ, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Luz Castellon, responded to this review Thank you very much for your comment Robert, we are glad that overall your stay with us was satisfactory, and we greatly appreciate your appreciation of our restaurant, as it gives us our added value. We are sorry to hear that your experience with the reception staff was not satisfactory. We appreciate your comments, as we work daily to improve and want all our guests to feel welcome and valued from the very first moment.Regarding the problem with the thermostat, we are very sorry for the inconvenience this caused you. For any incidence, you can comment it to our reception department, who will check the problem as soon as possible or they will change your room without any problem. We appreciate your feedback about the restaurant area and we will take your comments into account to improve the experience of our guests. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and offer you an even better stay.Sincerely, Jennifer Mascarós | Guest Experience

We stumbled upon this hotel which is located across the road from the train station. It is centrally located with restaurants and shops in walking distance. We will definitely book to stay there again Hotel LUZ, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Luz Castellon, responded to this review We are glad to hear that your stay with us was satisfactory.
