  The Hotel's location and views are its best features, the two-bed room was comfortable despite its tiny size, and the cleanliness was adequate, The hotel was comfortable and clean. The buffet had a lot of variety and the food was very tasty!   Shockingly Awfully- Avoid!!

  Terrible, terrible hotel. We stayed here as part of a 7 day self guided bike tour. So I didn’t pick it. I haven’t seen such a grim property since I back packed in Greece in the 80’s.Grim roomsGrim breakfast. Tired, cheap food. Young lady working had a face like thunderTerrible serviceWhen we were leaving they refused to store our cases. They were collected each day and taken to the next hotel. They said they had no room and had no idea about them being collected. I had to get pretty stroppy before a manager came and agreed to store them in their office.   Very enjoyable first stay

  We have stayed in Montanejos at least once each year since 2007, using two other hotels. This time, we were attracted by a better price at Xauen and were pleased we tried it: it will be our first choice in future. The rooms, which I guess are recently refurbished, are rather small although well equipped. Standard size double bed. Bathroom also compact but with a great shower. Spacious terrace with great views of the river valley and hills beyond. A very positive feature is the bar with full length windows overlooking the river: friendly service and good drinks prices. We didn't eat in the restaurant, as the menu did not look very exciting, but there are plenty of alternatives within 5 min. walk. We easily found free street parking within less than 100m each time it was needed (it would be more difficult in the summer season or at weekends).   Beautiful views but in need of renovations

  We booked this hotel for two nights. Our room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. Clean but in serious need of renovations. Cracks on the walls, rusty handles in bathroom... Breakfast is simple but good. Very good location and super nice views from our room.
