This was a quiet top notch hotel with lots of amenities. Good hot breakfast and large suite rooms. Great standing shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Dirty Room, broken toilet, no heat - NO APOLOGY
16 Feb 2026
We went here for a swim meet from Thursday - Sunday. We received a text asking us to let them know if we need anything during our stay before checking in which is great. We checked in. The room was not clean. There were Cheerios on the floor, candy, hair bow behind the sink, rope on the floor and a toothpick next to the sink, which was also dirty. We got in late and we were exhausted so I was going to let that go until the worst part. The toilet was disgusting. The room was not clean. I wrote by text to explain that the room was not clean. No answer I called the front desk and got an automated system and requested housekeeping they came to fix it. During the stay the toilet randomly would not work we had to lift the lid to get it to work and the heat didn’t work but it was not uncomfortable. Not enough for me to continue writing back. The next day I got a survey about the room I indicated a “2” for the room. They responded by asking me to provide a time to call to discuss the problem. I wrote back and asked them to call me at 2 so I could discuss the other problems. I was at a swim meet so that was a convenient time when I would have reception. They wrote back asking me to call after 9 am. I don’t feel that I should have to spend my limited time to discuss the problems with the room. The room should be ready when we check in, it should be clean and the heat and toilet should work the entire time. I don’t want to have to take my time to call to discuss problems that should not have happened in the first place. I requested late check out there said I would’ve charged $30 for two hours. I had never been charged before and considering the problems that I had that should have been given to me asa a courtesy. There was never an apology or acknowledgement of the condition of the room. In my opinion that is the worst part. I would rather wait to get an acceptable room than to be ignored and sent text instead of a personal call to discuss. The breakfast was great. No noise from above. That’s why I gave a 2

Keys and rolls
16 Feb 2026
We were a group of 4 women attending an event at the hotel. We had 2 adjoining rooms. In one of the rooms the heating and cooling system went out and they had to choose between air conditioning and heat. Greenville was experiencing some significant winter weather so we kept the adjoining door open so maybe some heat would filter over. We had trouble with our keys working. On our last day there I made 4 trips to my room with keys that supposedly worked, but they didn’t. On the 5th try I was told a maintenance person would meet me there but no one showed. The only response I got from a man at the front desk ‘was well, I called in a work order.’ I replied that ‘when someone will meet me at the door, you find me’. When I finally meet a maintenance person he couldn’t do anything because he needed his iPad. Finally I got in my room. Now this problem happened to numerous people numerous times staying there. This man at the front desk needed some serious customer service training. He was not interested in my problem or anyone else’s. The second night we were there we noticed something on the floor in the living area beside the chair. No one wanted to touch it but we did. It was a bread roll that had been there for a while. It was petrified. During our stay the roll never moved until the day we left when we put it in the middle of the room so it couldn’t be missed. I stayed here 2 years ago and it was a nice hotel a little dated but clean and perfect for our event. The meeting rooms were perfect for our needs. Based on our experience and others in our group I don’t think I will stay in this hotel again.

It could have been great but fell short.
02 Feb 2026
Let me start off with the positives. The main part is lovely. I love the layout it feels spacious and modern. The breakfast is outstanding too. It does need some renovations. Some of the rooms wall paper has separated from the walls. No working fan's in bathrooms, the shower head not secured to the wall and some parts of the carpet show significant wear. But all that's just from age and use and lack of a renovation or update. Now the blood staining on the curtains is disgusting same with the old blood stain in the mattress topper ( check your beds yall) I feel like those should be replaced ( we stayed in the same room 2 times in the last 30 days same stains on curtains ). And check you're showers ourselves did not drain After all of us living though a global pandemic you would think cleanliness would be one of the highest priorities. That leaves me with my absolute biggest problem the customer service or lack thereof. I had a horrible experience with the rude front desk manager on our last stay but knocked it up to her having a bad day and takin it out on me. But this 2nd stay I see she has trained her staff how be very rude and lie to hotel goers. I have stayed and many hotels over the years and have never been spoken to like they speak to me. I truly believe there needs to be some serious customer service training to the front desk staff and manager. You can't be in the service industry and have horrible customer service. To be in hospitality and not be hospitable. I do understand everyone has off days but when you work in this field you shouldn't take them out on they clientele. Because you don't know what's going on in there life. We personally were in town for a funeral. And to be talked to like your the dirt on the bottom of their shoe is crazy. Anyway long story short this hotel has possibilities Room cleanliness and customer service aside its ok. The banquet rooms are great for conversions and reunions they have a huge breakfast included and the main parts of the hotel are very pretty. Hope this helps someone figure out their stay on if the pros outlay the cons. I did attach photos of bloody and stained curtains shower head and wallpaper falling off as reference.
