  Cold and dated interior,wouldn't stay again

  Unprofessional at check in without any form of greeting the receptionist could barely take the time to get off his phone.Asked for a quiet room ( hotel wasn't busy) and was allocated a disabled room! Without any natural light and two dirty stained old fashioned chairs, looked like an old peoples care home.Asked to change room, same receptionist on his phone sighed heavily when we went to the desk.Allocated a first floor room,two higher floors available,on the street, opposite a car wash!Dated furniture and bathroom.No smart TV,no English channels.Poor quality sleep because it was cold,no duvet on the bed only sheets which was inevitable.Breakfast staff was surly,she too couldn't even provide a greeting.Inattentive and unfriendly we felt we were unwanted.We were made to eat from trays,i put my plate on the table and she moved it onto a tray.Unpleasant and unprofessional she clearly wanted to avoid wiping a table.Breakfast room in the basement, dark and dreary.Fried eggs were cold,bread stale and no intergral available, just salty or sweet foods.No low fat yoghurt.Would not stay again.

  Adequate hotel with comfortable rooms.Private basement parking for motorbikes and cars.Unfortunately, there was a party going on in the function room so didn't have dinner here.Bar is adequate and plenty of tapas on offer.Staff were polite and attentive.

  To be honest, we didn't enjoy our stay. The hotel is rated 4 stars, but the room needs some improvements as the furniture/appearance is old.Our reservation didn't include breakfast so we couldn't check the quality.It has internal parking with several options and direct access to the hotel.The location was good as it is close to the city center. Unfortunately we got there on a Sunday and everything was closed and no one was on the streets. The city doesn't offer many things to visit.It has a small pool and the space around it was not very big. In the summer it functioned as an outdoor pool, but it includes a cover that could easily transform it into an indoor pool.

  Good for an one night stay. Rooftop pool is old and non comfortable. Room is ok but need to be updated. Location is close to city centre. Breakfast was good. Staff is friendly and professional. It is cost the money that we paid for it.

  I was heading from Malaga to Poitiers, and decided to stop one night in Ciudad Real, and the Hotel Guadiana seemed an ideal choice, comfortable room, free secure parking, and central location, and it did not disappoint. The reception (Diana) was helpful in every way, and as there was no porter, she helped me with my luggage, gave me a very comfortable room, and generally looked after me in every way possible, top marks Diana! The decor was generic, but the bed was comfortable, A.C. very efficient, and I had a great night’s sleep.I was recommended a restaurant about ten minutes walk into this charming little city, and it was excellent. I get so bored by negative reviews from people who pay little, and want the Ritz, get real. I will be going back to this little gem, and I hope Diana will be there to greet me.
