Still very nice - room very small for the price - needs attention

We have stayed at this lovely hotel before, and also this time the staff was very kind and the service processes were generally at a high level.As usual, we stayed in a balcony room. While we already knew the room concept from previous visits, we must say that the room now feels in need of a facelift, especially considering the price level.Some downsides:* You have to ask separately for the blinds controller.* The room was not properly cooled and had an unpleasant smell when we arrived.The room itself is too small for the price and lacks a well-thought-out storage concept. There is a very large cupboard and an impractical table in the corner, while the bed is too small and there is very limited walking space. In our opinion, the shower area, the sink, and especially the large sink counter take up far too much space relative to the room size.We would recommend redesigning these rooms by removing the oversized cupboard and rethinking the bathroom layout. This would allow for a better-sized bed and more functional, modern furniture optimized for smaller rooms. The interior is starting to feel somewhat outdated, making this the right moment for a renovation.The rooftops are very nice. However, since the addition of the second rooftop area directly above, guests now sit almost directly overhead. In addition, people often remain on the rooftop well after midnight, which significantly reduces the experience and privacy of the terrace rooms, especially given the already very small sleeping area.Overall, the hotel would benefit from upgrading these rooms to a more modern and higher-quality standard that better matches the pricing and overall hotel concept.

The central location of this hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring the city. The exterior looks so pretty and the inside is beautiful too.We upgraded our room to one overlooking the square with a tiny balcony (not big enough to sit on) but still nice to be able to open the window. The room was smaller than I had imagined but very comfy bed and pillows and great shower.The staff on reception were lovely and helpful.Breakfast had a good variety however the staff need to clear away the tables after people have finished eating as there was often a lack of available seating.The pool area is really nice to relax around but the pool was way too cold to tempt me.The roof top bar area is rather impressive but sadly it was under renovation during our stay so we couldn't utilise it.I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay somewhere special in this beautiful city.

A fabulous hotel with an amazing staff team in a wonderful location. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 nights stay. Reception were a pleasure to interact with. The servicing staff are highly efficient and effective. Breakfast was complete and one of the very best we have enjoyed on our extensive travels. The city is busy and a wonderful place to visit. The hotel is perfect when needing to relax. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel. Enjoy! 🤩

Loved this outstanding hotel. The room was very large and very comfortable, the bathroom a little small but fine. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of foods to choose from. The rooftop terrace was comfortable and the service very good. Central location. I would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel

A gorgeous hotel, we got a great rate for a junior suite and you can often get up to 20% off by joining their rewards club. We were welcomed with some Cava and a big smile. We slept incredibly well considering the hotel was right in the centre of things. We made use of the small pool one of the afternoons which was a real treat. We had lunch in the hotel restaurant directly outside and dinner in the rooftop restaurant. Both were excellent and good value for such beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.
