  Disastrous experience, the apartment was dirty. None of us smoked and we found used cigarette residue all over the apartment, as well as papers of snacks not eaten by us. In the bathroom there was a fan but it did not work, as well as the exhaust of the tub. Even the towels had stains and insects in them. The situation in the kitchen was also no different: dirty pots, hob that gave off an unpleasant smell and little working. Would not recommend it!   Calling it a hostel is a great compliment

  I stayed for 4 nights at this property. Upon arrival I found all the towels stained with shoes and makeup, the apartment was filthy, there were residues from previous guests in the bathrooms and the floor was black with lumps of dust and hair. After repeated requests to change the towels, the response was that it was not possible or that they had run out, even though three nights had already passed. The staff was not available to improve the situation, the toilet paper, hand soap and rubbish bags were bought out of our own pocket. The dishes were encrusted and the sponge came out black after washing them. The wardrobe had a black patina left on the handkerchief after sanitizing it, the sheets had stains as did the sofa cover. Inside, a constant was the smell of humidity. At the end of the stay they asked us to throw away the rubbish in the apartment without providing us with the bags to do so.Our friends in the next room found a similar if not worse situation with Tampax behind the toilet and bubbles in the ceiling.I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy. We will check with the corresponding department what could have happened in your specific case and what you indicate because it is not normal, nor what is in your apartment, nor what is indicated by the apartment next door who were her classmates and friendsRegarding the towels, it was explained to them that they were not changed daily but on the 4th day of the stay, because in the apartments, it is not like a hotel that is changed daily, we are sorry and they were really changed on the day that it was the fourth day.We want to indicate this so as not to confuse future guests and to remember that the apartments do not have intimate hygiene products or cleaning products for the apartment.We are very sorry that in general you were angry because we did not let you enter the apartments, both day and night, people who were not staying in the apartments, but it is the regulations and I already explained to you that you could only go up to rooms registered guests .Thank you so muchAna, quality department Originally submitted in Italian on www.tripadvisor.com.   Perfectly ok, would go again

  We have just spent 4 nights at these apartments & enjoyed every minute of it. The location is great in the old town, so the view only across the street. The apartment was a good size& exceptionally clean, bedding, towels etc. The staff were very pleasant and helpful . If there is one slight criticism, the room we had desperately needed a new fridge, but it still worked! Would I go again? Definitely!   Stolen passport and money

  Do not stay here as 1 of our passports and money was stolen the night before we were going home. The joke of a night watchman was not on duty and the police were called by us going across the road to another hotel for help.The window looked as if it had just been opened from the inside and door nor window was damaged.We were not meant to be staying in these appartments but thats another story. There is only someone on duty for a few hours a day so if you have a problem or as a young family that stayed the same time as us did, they got stuck in the lift theres no one to help. Its the worse place ever to stay so please be warned

  Passports Stolen...would not recommend!

  Myself and 2 friends stayed here for 5 nights and on the last night's all of our passports were stolen and £80 English money from the safe. Nothing else was taken. There were phones, a laptop and a purse with €100 in, but strangley these were all left? The security man was very unhelpful. He appeared to speak very little English or could not understand it but when I asked to go with him to check the security camara he all of a sudden got annoyed, walked away and told us to call the police.Then when I went down to the office it was locked and he was no where to be found. I found this behaviour suspicious and did not not want to call the police as me and my friends felt unsafe. There was no sign of a break in. No smashed windows and we were able to get in using our key. It was only until a friend went to the safe about half hour after getting in that we realised the safe had been broken into. Then when I checked TripAdvisor to see if anything like this had happened before the exact same thing happened and this made us more wary and not want to call the police!I called the British Embassy who advised us to get to them if we felt unsafe and they could get us home. Luckily we did and all got home safe. Whilst others experience at Apartamentos Santi has been fine our experience was not and left us all quite traumatised so definitely would not recommend! Ana M, Director de Relaciones con Clientes at Apartamentos Santi, responded to this review After consulting with the night receptionist, he has advised that on knowing that you had lost your Passports he wanted to help by calling the police, but you were against this for obvious reasons due to your state and behaviour.If you felt so unsafe the obvious thing would have been to contact the police immediately, as advised by our receptionist.It is not very logical that you state that you had your Passports & money stolen, but did not notice straight away that the safe, according to you, had been broken into. and we have no record of any broken safes. Maybe you had lost your Passports elsewhere??In reference to the other incident mentioned on Tripadvisor, the police was called to the apartments and it was proved that there had been no robbery.We are sorry for this unfortunate experience your are telling.Ana M.
