Location

This welcoming beach hotel enjoys a peaceful location directly beside the sea and close to the town centre. It is just 150 m from the beach, and in the hotel's vicinity guests will find numerous shopping venues, bars, restaurants and nightclubs.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 7-storey building with 5 lifts and 601 rooms. Guests are warmly welcomed by multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Various wellness options are available at the hotel, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments and a solarium. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music, a dance club and a casino.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant (with high chairs), a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and full board. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Diet meals, gluten-free meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    This is not my first time staying at an Aqua hotel, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I want to share my honest impression of this hotel because what we experienced was simply unacceptable.We stayed in a room for four people, yet there was only ONE power outlet. No minibar, no kettle, and the room cleaning was far below an acceptable standard. This level of comfort is completely inadequate and created serious inconvenience throughout our stay.The food was good, and the staff were excellent — polite, attentive, and professional. The bar staff especially deserve recognition, as their service was outstanding.However, the swimming pool is clearly too small for a hotel of this size, and the water was unpleasantly cold. What made the experience even worse was one particular lifeguard, whose constant remarks, complaints, and obvious dissatisfaction ruined the atmosphere not only for us but for many other guests as well.We wanted to play with our son using a very small ball specifically designed for water games (only 10 cm in diameter), and we were told it was not allowed. In all the hotels we have visited before, this was never an issue. Children were not even allowed to enjoy themselves properly in the pool. This level of unnecessary restriction created enormous discomfort and is a major downside of this hotel.Interestingly, the following day there was a different lifeguard, and suddenly there were no problems at all. This says a lot.The final incident completely destroyed our impression of the hotel. After checking out, we left our suitcase in the luggage room. Before our transfer, I collected it only to discover that the handle had been broken and the suitcase itself had cracked near the handle attachment.When I addressed the reception staff, I was simply told that the employee who handled the suitcase had already gone home and that nothing could be done. They added that he was “just an intern.” That was it — no apology, no attempt to solve the issue, no responsibility taken whatsoever.Huge thanks to one of the bartenders who witnessed the entire situation. He was the only person willing to help — he cut off the broken handle and taped the cracked suitcase so we could at least continue our journey. He also tried to support us during the conversation with reception, but the response remained the same: complete indifference.This is a massive disappointment and a serious failure in customer service. In all the hotels where I have stayed, I have never experienced such treatment. Neither I, nor my family, nor our friends will ever return to this hotel.I sincerely hope that Aqua Hotels management reads this review and finally pays attention to what their guests are actually experiencing.

    3 star hotel with cheap policies to inconvenience guests

    My recent stay at Aqua Hotel Aquamarina & Spa was a mixed experience, and unfortunately the negatives outweighed the positives.To start with the good, the location is excellent. It is well placed for access to the beach, local shops and getting around the area. The buffet food is also genuinely very good, with a wide selection and consistent quality. That was easily the highlight of the stay.However, the hotel is seriously let down by extremely poor, unfriendly and frankly inconvenient policies that feel unnecessarily cheap.There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms at all, and not even basic drinking water provided. If you want something as simple as a kettle or an iron, you are required to leave a €15 cash deposit at reception for each item. That means €15 for a kettle and another €15 for an iron, €30 in total for two very basic things that most hotels provide as standard for free. Not card, cash. We actually had to go out and find an ATM just to withdraw euros purely for this, which is ridiculous in a modern hotel.We needed a kettle to warm our daughter’s milk, so this was not a luxury request, it was a basic necessity. The whole process felt unnecessarily difficult. It also raises the question of what the point is of offering kettles at all when the rooms are not equipped with even the most basic tea or coffee setup like virtually every other hotel I have stayed in over the last 20 years.Parking was another frustration. It costs €10 per day, which would be fine if it worked properly, but the automatic number plate recognition system at the gate did not work a single time. Every entry meant pressing the intercom and waiting for reception to open the barrier. We were told the issue was that the car was not positioned correctly, first too far left, then told to try the middle, but even after following their instructions it still did not work.In summary, good location and genuinely great buffet food, but overshadowed by poor service policies, lack of basic in room amenities and an overall sense of cost cutting that impacts the guest experience.For me, this is a 3 star hotel at best.     Beach holiday combined with trips to Barcelona

    We enjoyed our week long stay at Aquamarina hotel in Santa Susanna. It’s situated well, just on the promenade and close to the beach and train station. Ideal for combining beach holiday with city trips to Barcelona. Plenty of variety to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really liked David at the restaurant, he was always in good mood and really funny :) Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of sunbeds available.     We arrived late in the evening on the 7th of November, and were welcomed with a friendly face and a welcoming smile. The services all round were excellent. I also have to comment on the individual in the dinning hall. I wish I had known his name, I think may have also been a manager in the dinning hall. He showed excellent customer service skills and service. This person consistently provided exceptional service by attentively listening to the customers concerns, responding with patience and resolving issues efficiently, often receiving praise from customers for their helpful and friendly demeanour.Thank you ALL at the Aqua Hotel, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
