  AWFUL - NOT SAFE AND DIRTY AND I AM STILL AWAITING A RESPONSE

  I have just returned from a holiday at Checkin Pineda with my children, which was most disappointing.1) The restaurant did not meet the legal hygiene requirements- despite me speaking to the head chef, receptionists, restaurant staff. My son has severe nut allergies and it was not safe for him. I had to pay to eat in restaurants outside, for lunch breakfast and dinner. 2) Our room did not have towels for 3 days 3) The hotel charges us for drinks after 11pm - the same drinks we had during the day. 4) They would not show me which oil they used to cook - so i could not guarantee my son was safe. They allowed a man to have a dog on a seat, in the restaurant. I spoke to the staff regarding my son's allergies to animals and they would not remove the dog. We had to leave after queing for 30 minutes. The staff were incredibly rude- specifically a woman with dark hair and lots of make up in the restaurant. some staff did not speak english or spanish. It was impossible to get a bed by the pool and the pool was dirty - i asked to see a report of the Chemicals, as i have a hot tub at home. They refused to show me. My sons could not go in the pool.We contacted representative at the resort , but they were unable to resolve the matter and advised us to complain upon our return home. The quality of the beds were poor - very poor. We had to change our key 6 times as they did not work.

  Seriously don’t bother!

  Arrived to the hotel only to be greeted by rude staff who ignored us for 10 minutes then got on the phone and ignored us for a further 10 minute. Eventually checked in but we was nit given any information such as checkout time, restaurant opening times or about WiFi or as a matter of fact anything! The rooms are very outdated and bathtub was so small. Rooms were very cramped and old, the window sills were broken and the hotel was very noisy. The air conditioner didn’t work and we was told it takes time to blow cold air. Although we were ‘all inclusive’ you still have to pay for some food and drinks which we wasn’t made aware of at the time of booking. Only the bar staff are really nice and friendly. Also the location was very close to the beach. I would never go back there and now I understand why it’s a bit ‘cheaper’ than other hotels nearby. I would NOT recommmend this hotel so save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

  We booked a package through a travel agent on line.Although the hotel needs a bit of updating for example the pool hsd a few tiles missing from the bottom of it. It was cleaned every day.There was a children's play area but no separate pool for them. Our room faced onto the pool had a small balcony. It was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. It was small but adequate. There was no fridge and you have to pay for wifi except in the public areas. I found the staff helpful and not rude as stated by others. The waiter Mr Juanita greeted us at the door of the restaurant and showed us to our table. There was certainly plenty to eat in the restaurant paryicularly at breakfast with a hot and cold buffet.They do cater for veggies but I did find some of the food wrongly labelled as vegetsbles. This was corrected. Drinks are not included and have to pay for including water at lunch but free at breakfast.A special thanks to Sabib and the bar staff for the wonderful cocktails and making us welcome.Drinks are reasonably priced 5 euros for 2 glasses of wine.The hotel is close to the beach shops and railway.If using the shuttle bus it does nit drop outside the hotel but about 5 minutes or so on the main road so could be an issue for those with limited mobility.

  The first impression is superb

  Value of money is relevant. Room 424 was always clean and tidy, white towels and bed linen. Beds comfortable. Restaurant was a little bit crowded and space between tables could be more. But quality and selection of dishes for breakfast was amazing: pineapple, water melon, pickles, yoghurt, grains, flakes, juices, tea, coffee, bakery, bacon, eggs, selection of cheese, jam, Nutella, etc. Not far from beach, Railway Station, supermarket and main road to Barcelona. Staff is welcoming. Check out 11 am.

  Bar staff made our holiday but as for everything else....

  Can't say it enough bar staff was amazing too good to be working in such a rundown hotel... Rooms are nothing like the pictures, the reception are rude the restaurant staff rushed us out the dining room with not even taken the time to have a sip of coffee, food is awful will not recommend all inclusive unless you have a strong stomach and can handle food poisoning and enjoy bland dodgy looking food. The town is not a lively place, although a few restaurants that were very good only to discover on the last two nights.... Just avoid all together.
