Location

This hotel is located 300 m from the sandy beach in Blanes on the Costa Brava, and opens onto the sea in the midst of glowing sandy beaches and steep rock faces. The nearest links to the public transport network are within 50 m of the hotel. It is a 45-minute drive to Barcelona and 100 km from the ski region. Girona Airport is only 31 km away and it is 90 km to Barcelona Airport.

Facility

4 junior suites, 4 single rooms and 72 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Above average breakfast at an average hotel

    Centrally placed hotel, ideal for the town and beach also buses from the railway station stop outside. We stayed out of season so the place was not busy but in November we still found that there were more guests than we expected. There is a swimming pool on the roof but closed during our visit plus there is a bar which is open to non-residents but with a very limited offering of snacks, basically only sandwiches and cakes. Our room was clean and comfortable with a balcony but breakfast seems to be the big event here with a wide range of cooked items and just about everything imaginable that one might want for breakfast. A few oddities: there was a notice on the door exiting the breakfast room which instructed guests not to take any food away from the premises. This was solely in English, so it was obviously OK for Spanish and Catalan speakers, who made up the majority to stock up, or perhaps it was considered such a despicable activity that would never enter their heads. Another oddity was the television, running through the channels there was a wide range of English speaking ones coming up but none of them worked, all other foreign language channels such as German etc did. We asked at reception about this at least 3 times, but all they said was that they would look into the problem, but as expected nothing happened There was no kettle in the room -so bring your own, but we did find a safe, however to use it there was €20 charge for the 5 nights we were there, plus a €10 key deposit. On the plus side we did get an early check-in and the bed was comfortable and if you want a mammoth breakfast then this is the place for you.

    A hidden gem!

    This hotel is a little gem. We stayed for four nights and everything was top class - much better than many four and five star hotels we’ve stayed in. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. Breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice for even the fussiest of eaters. The staff were friendly and so helpful.

    Excellent mid range hotel 400m from sea-front and promenade. Good rooms, swimming pool on roof, good friendly staff that speak English. Great breakfast selection with plenty of fresh foods/ breads etc. Wi-fi provided.

    Great for a pitstop in the middle of Costa Brava

    This hotel fulfills all of your requirements, warm bed, hot shower, breakfast is included. It's a great bang for your buck kind of place, especially if you're passing through. The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. However, I don't recommend it for a longer stay for several reasons. For one, there are no refrigerators in the room. This forces you to eat out for all your meals. The furniture itself is a little on the older side. The rooms are an OK size, I did wish they were a little bigger. There is no view of the ocean from anywhere (except maybe the rooftop but it was closed while I was there), no fault of their own, just an observation. Also, the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear your neighbors do all kinds of things and their crying children. Overall, at that affordable price and with the kind and accommodating staff, it is worth it.

    Basic Hotel, but clean and tidy

    Just returned from a 4 night stay. The hotel is situated a 5 minute walk to the beach / shops. The hotel is basic, but clean and tidy. Ladies in the Cafe Bar very friendly. Usual breakfast - hot choice, croissants, bread and meats. One suggestion I would make is that they invest in a second coffee machine as the queue could be fairly long. Note for management - perhaps remind parents not to let their children run up and down the corridors outside their room. This was happening on the floor above my room and it went on until quite late into the evening. I would recommend for a short stay.
