I booked a two-week stay through VakantieDiscounter, including breakfast.Upon arrival, I was given a room with a broken air conditioner. I reported the problem immediately, but the night receptionist was unable to offer me another room at that time. The following morning, a technician came to inspect the air conditioner and confirmed that it was not working. I was eventually moved to a different room.Unfortunately, this room was located on the side of the hotel where the garbage containers were kept. There was a constant unpleasant smell, and the garbage was collected during the night, making a lot of noise. As a result, I did not have a single good night's sleep during my stay.The soundproofing in the rooms is also very poor. You can clearly hear your neighbours taking a shower, and every time they flush the toilet, you hear it as well.The housekeeping was disappointing. There was still dirt in the corners of the room, and the balcony was never cleaned during my stay.The breakfast was very limited and lacked variety. After just a few days, I was completely tired of eating the same food every morning.In my opinion, this hotel certainly does not deserve a four-star rating. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here. We had a wonderful 11 night stay at Hotel Horitzo which is perfectly located opposite the beach and offers fabulous sea views. The cleanliness was outstanding, the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and comfortable throughout. Great room with a view

The hotel Horitzo was in a great location, right across from the see. We paid extra for see views and was worth every penny. The rooms had everything you needed, kettle and mugs. Coffee, tea and sugar replaced every day. The rooms and hotel was cleaned every day and clean towels every day. All staff was friendly and had smiles always. The breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. If in Blanes again, I would not hesitate to stay they again. The rooms could use a little update but Breakfast was amazing, They have a variety of local products and a Cava for mimosas! Service was great. Mar at reception always with a smile and suggestions and recommendations of what to do or where to go. Mary always help us at breakfast and Metre (hopefully i get his name right) was very funny and nice to talk. For sure we will come back.
