The hotel location was great. I had a single room but it was plenty big enough. The staff were all very helpful and the pool and spa area were very relaxing. It was good value for money.

Ght Aquarium Hotel . A very dated hotel and certainly despite whatever legal criteria and requirements it meets does not hold the standard of any 4 star hotel I have been anywhere else in the world. Many reviews have mentioned this for years but the management clearly sees no reason to change anything. The welcome was not what you could call warm purely perfunctory. One main very small and slow set of lifts in main lobby . The rooms are quite small( for reference smaller than a premier inn) . Bear in mind if more than two to a room. The bathroom with bath is poorly designed with fixed shower door making access difficult for anyone with any kind of reduced mobility . The air con is not sufficient although their engineer will tell you it’s fine . The rooms are either facing the road or the pool . If you face the pool you are facing the sister hotels balcony’s right opposite and doesn’t afford you much privacy. If you are roadside it’s more open and private but can be a little noisy from traffic and revellers passing by . The pools are much smaller than appears online . The sun is mostly lost over head by around 6 pm because it’s blocked by the other hotel . And then if your in shade you get attacked by flies. The absolute worst thing about this hotel is the catering. Which is abominable and the worst food I’ve ever had in a hotel in my life . I think a large majority of it is frozen crap and has zero seasoning. I mean like not even salt and pepper . Unfortunately it seems something that is also true of many local restaurants. I feel truly sorry for anyone who made the mistake of booking All inclusive.. Even the breakfast is not great . If you are wanting a full English breakfast do not have any expectations it is a very poor sloppily presented mess . Also all hot drinks and juices are from a machine. Even the continental is not good quality. Have had to eat out the majority of the time . I visited the Costa brava Platja d’ aro 20 years ago and did not experience such disgustingly poor food. Also the maitre d /head waiter is facetious. I can’t wait to leave and will never return to either the hotel or indeed to Spain. Resort - not a great spot without a car .transport is not great especially in the evening. You can’t get uber or any fixed price taxi here . The beach has sharp grit not sand in Fenals and Lloret and have extremely steep entry to the sea unsuitable for children or seniors or any type of mobility issue knee problems etc . A very disappointing experience.

Location close to all shops restaurants, beach. Atmosphere very pleasant calm and quiet, even at busy times, everyone just enjoying their holidays. Rooms were fully functional clean slightly on the smaller side but perfectly acceptable for 3. Great value for money staying here, yes a little dated decor but spotlessly clean and taken care of. Drinks and food reasonable prices. Housekeeping were fabulous. Never experienced any noise disturbances, lovely quieter side to lloret. The restaurant greeter bar staff and reception were all amazing. One of the best margaritas I’ve ever had and we’ve been to Mexico! Particularly loved the restaurant greeter, he remembered our name and room number within a couple of days. The food was perfect every day, breakfast and dinner can’t fault anything. We are foodies and yes you can’t please everyone all the time. We were happy with every meal plenty of choice, kitchen staff looked like they cared about their work and wanted to interact. No craziness or rushing at meal times. Always tables clear and ready. I would come back again for a lovely holiday on the cheaper budget scale no question.
