This family-friendly hotel is located in a lively area right on the sandy beach, right in the heart of Malgrat de Mar. From here, guests can easily explore the area, and there are many options for leisure activities nearby. A variety of restaurants, bars and shops are just a few metres away. The nearest airport is Gerona (GRO), which is approximately 30 km away. Barcelona (BCN) is about 80 km away.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 14 single rooms and 217 double rooms located in a 4-storey main building and a 6-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. 3 lifts and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (for a fee). Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer and a telephone are available for daily use. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked. The hotel has family rooms, 231 non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Whether in need of rest and relaxation or more activity, guests can swim a few lengths of one of the 2 outdoor pools, while children have a special swimming area just for them. Thrills on the waterslide, refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a soothing soak in the hot tub – the pool area has a little something for every state of mind and body. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the hotel offers cycling/mountain biking.     We had an Amazing week at Hotel Papi. Nice clean rooms a lovely pool to relax in or by. A great selection of food at the buffet, something for everyone at a grat price. The restaurant was always clean and the staff were constantly ontop of everything. It was clearing relaying or refilling. They were always busy. A few members of staff who stood out were Noelia, Davy and Gilbert. A friendly greeting each and every time we went to the restaurant. One inparticular female member of staff ( I didnt get her name) made an effort everytime to speak to our youngest and make her feel welcome. Overall they were all great and hard working, A brilliant team with a fantastic leader. Thank you all at Hotel Papi for a fantastic stay.

    Absolutely one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at! The air conditioner in our room would not turn on so I went and told the front desk that the a/c in my room was not working, the reply I got from the front desk person made no sense, he told me that some people are hot, some are cold, do the owner of the hotel told the manager to shut the whole system off, no heat , no a/c! Wow what a great decision that was, now you have everybody in the hotel uncomfortable. Next up was the rude host at the hotel buffet dinner. After checking in around 8pm my wife and I decided to go to the dinner buffet. We went to our room to leave our luggage and went down to eat at 8:25pm. When we got to the hotel restaurant we told the host that we wanted 2 for the buffet. She didn't speak much English but I was able to figure out that you had to pay for the buffet at the front desk. The host was quite nasty and told us to exit because we didn't have a receipt that we paid, who knew we had to pay at the front desk? After paying at the front desk and finding out that the buffet closes at 9pm we went back to the restaurant and gave the host the paid receipt, she had a bad attitude again. We were seated at a table and right away the waitress had a bad attitude and was nasty as well. At 8:45 my wife wanted to get a drink from a drink dispenser and was told the drink dispenser was closed but she could get water from the water dispenser. At 8:55 I couldn't even get water! The room we stayed in was old and the pillows were hard as a rock! Since there was no a/c we tried to sleep with the window open, the outside noise was terrible and it didn't stop until 3am and at 6:30am it started again. I wouldn't give this hotel even a 1 rating, It's terrible- save your money stay somewhere else.

    Room - clean, big beds (4 people/family = 2 double beds), balcony, very big bathroom, minus - room is small. There is no possibility to ask for non clean the room. We have asked in a reception but they still clean a room every day. I am not sure if its necesarry. They are proud to be eco hotel, but changing towels everyday its not part of it. Hotel - perfect pool, 2 parts also for children but the one of them working just a few minutes a day and think its a shame, animation program was cool for all the people who would like to participate. Food - breakfast - deserved to change a little bit on a week, everyday was the same. But everyone can choose, a lots of sweet version of food, eggs, salami, ham, cheese… dinner - everyday a special night, meat and veggies every day. Beach - few minutes by walk, very close. Beach is good for children and strollers :)

    Our first day and already an awful experience...I already want to leave. The hotel is not as it is advertised. It is tiny with nothing to do. You can walk the whole place in 2 minutes flat. Food is basic, no variety and lacks options. The room is so so small it's hard to believe. We couldn't even find a place to put our cases. We can't pass each other in the room without pushing each other over. The wardrobe can barely cope for one person, never mind that's it's supposed to cater to a family of 3. The bathroom hasn't even got a place to hang a towel. So drying towels cannot happen. The shower tray is constantly just overflowing and leaking on to the floor outside. The room is filthy on arrival, floors full of sand & dirt and old sweet wrappers left behind the sink. The socket inlets are so dirty that they look to have green mould inside. It has a very old air conditioning unit that is pumping dust and is yellow and about to fall off the wall. No hairdryer, no safe, no beach towel, no iron. Unless, you pay to rent or deposit. We can can hear every person pass by the room and hear everything they do in their rooms. The lights barely came on at first. Everything is bad, everything!!! Please save yourself, as we wish we did sooner. Not to mention, there is nothing to do in this area. Nothing!

    For us the hotel facilities are great, the pools are large and clean with lifeguards and plenty of areas to enjoy the sun, the hotel has a central location for excursions, the food is freshly cooked each day, plentiful and caters for all diets and tastes, the staff are universally helpful and the management go out of their way to resolve any problems. The daily entertainment program is vast and the animation team are brilliant. This is also a great hotel for a family with disability challenges. Thank you for making us feel like part of the Papi family.
