  First of all, I wouldn't give this hotel even a one star rating but it doesn't allow for zero! Let me tell you from the start...When my family and I arrived at platja d'aro, we were given two rooms, one downstairs for three women and the other for the two men upstairs. When we walked into the room it wasn't cleaned yet from the previous people. This didn't bother us as we were headed out for lunch anyways so we put our luggage into the boys room and I went to reception and spoke to a lady called Sara, who was very apologetic and assured me that when we return the room would be ready. No problem... We went for a lunch and returned to the hotel. Sara was no longer on shift but a man called Ismael had taken over. He gave us our keys and we went upstairs. Room was now clean and we started to unpack our clothes. At this point, my mother, sat on the bed and the bed collapsed, causing her to fall onto the floor. I went downstairs and informed Ismael what had happened. He immediately came upstairs to see what happened, was very apologetic and gave us a room across from our room. We asked him if it was possible to stay in the new room for the rest of our stay and he said he didn't see an issue with it. He gave us a doctor's number and told us where the clinic was if my mom felt she needed to see a doctor. In the morning, after breakfast, we were headed upstairs to get ready for our day out as a family (celebrating our mom's 60th). Another lady, Clara, had taken over the reception. She said that our old room would be ready and that she needed us to move out of the room we were in. I asked her if we had to move now and she said yes now. Massive pain, but ok... We went upstairs, packed our stuff (again) and waited. 30 mins or so passed, so I opened the door and saw the key on the other room door so assumed it had been left there for us to move. I opened the door and saw two men sitting inside with the broken bed still broken. At this point I wasn’t going to wait anymore and waste a day... we went downstairs and I told Clara that we were not waiting anymore and that we would move once we returned. I told her the bed was still broken. She told me that it was fixed. She put the key on the reception and I took the key and said clara this is the last time I am going upstairs to move.When we got upstairs, the men were moving the broken bed out of the room. I started to put our belongings into the room and a housekeeper said no I must wait. This was really the cherry on the top and I told her that I was not waiting anymore. She proceeded to call Clara, who came upstairs. We met in the hallway of the hotel. She spoke to the housekeeper and then said to me, well... the room isn’t clean but whatever!! I said are you seriously telling me that this room is not clean, so it’s not ready for me to move into? She said, I didn’t give you a key??? At this point I am thinking how its possible for me to have the key if she didn’t give it to me? Her attitude was extremely bad and disgusting. She then went downstairs to call the police! Really I cannot make this up... she went to call the police. We checked out the same day and went to a better, friendlier hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs... Their best asset is Ismael. Clara shouldn't be in a job dealing with customers as her attitude stinks! Avoid!

  I recently stayed in this Hotel and had a very enjoyable stay. I discovered I left behind a ring, of very sentimental value, in the Hotel safe.   Booked a stopover between Barcelona and Paris.... best decision ever. Travelling by train the transport from Girona was awkward so ended up in a taxi.... great investment. Slow to check in but well worth the wait.   Used this holiday as a stop off on our road trip

  An amazing dog friendly hotel, we received a massive warm welcome from the receptionist. She offered to look after our bulldog puppy whilst we transfered our suitcases to our room.room with a balcony had ample room really spacious and perfect for our needs. Breakfast full marks .   This hotel is a good 3 star hotel we are staying here after a cruise .Hotel is in a quiet area about 15 minutes walk to playa munro where there are shops ,bars ,restaurants .Alcudia is about half hour by bus number 352 or 2 a taxi is 8 euros .Now for the hotel as I said it's a good 3 star hotel. Rooms are basic but cleaned daily the beds are very hard luckily I took memory foam as I have back problems .There isn't any kettle or cups etc but there is a fridge ,there is a supermarket just over the road .Pool area is small for the number of guests .The entertainment isn't good unfortunately I feel it let the hotel down ,this is a quiet hotel mainly older people over 55 .The food is good nice and hot Chips,salads ,cooked English breakfast ,meat etc I'm a very fussy eater I always found something nice to eat The drinks are ok not branded alcohol but still acceptable.The staff are what make this hotel they are hardworking and very pleasant .The hotel manager was very very helpful nothing was to much trouble for him .The rep was good very approachable .To be honest I think the trips are over priced by Tui so reccomend you do your own .The only negatives for us were the beds,the entertainment in general ,and no hand gel in resturant apart from that it's a good three star .Well done all the staff and thank you. Oh the beach is beautiful you walk through a gate over a small rd and it's there it's 13 euros for 2 beds and brolley, and s safe .Be careful there are or were jelly fish ppl were stung .
