  What a nightmare. I have never experienced such disrespectful and rude staff in my whole life.We had to change rooms twice in total. First, they gave us a room with a broken air conditioner that was so loud you could hear it from the hallway. When we complained at the reception, the receptionist acted as if she had never heard about it before, even though you could hear the noise on almost the entire floor. She didn’t even apologize, so we requested a room change.We finally got a new room, only to notice that the shower was broken and that there was hair everywhere… on the toilet, on the floor… literally everywhere. Dark hair, which was absolutely disgusting. I have never experienced such an unhygienic hotel.After that, we requested another room because we couldn’t even shower in the one we had been given. Instead of giving us a new room, she told us there were no rooms left and that we should go back to the previous broken room, which was honestly ridiculous. She said they were going to do something about it, but nothing happened.We had to contact the manager through the company we booked the hotel with in order to get someone to actually do something. We were never taken seriously, and the receptionist was extremely rude.We finally got another room and even a tiny upgrade, but the room was still full of hair. At that point, I simply gave up on the idea that there was a single clean room in this hotel.The food also made us sick. I definitely would not recommend eating at this hotel. And the service at the Restaurant was terrible… we were competely ignored.When we wanted to return the towels, we couldn’t find the receipt and even though we had the towels with us the two guys at the bar started acting like children, telling us they wouldn’t give us our money back, making assumptions and eventually telling us to just keep the towels. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from grown men.Would I recommend this hotel? Only if you want a headache and love hair.The staff completely ruined our experience. Don’t go to this hotel if you want to have a nice and relaxing vacation.

  Avoid….the experience is definitely not as advertised

  This really was an awful experience. Inside the hotel is lovely but that is were the good ends. I went for a birthday celebration with friends on a day pass and they ruined our day. The hotel advertised a day pass with a 3 course meal in the Marina restaurant. We were told the day before booking (despite booking a week ago) that it would a buffet meal. When we got there we were told it would be in another restaurant. There was no reduction in price or offer of any compensation. We were assured that the quality of the buffet would be the same. It was awful, food was terrible, cold and very limited choice. I wouldn’t pay €10 for it. There was no staff to be seen and it took over 20mins to be served a drink. There were not enough sunbeds for us all and the hotel is very dated and dirty. The lady at reception was extremely rude and should not be working in customer service. I’m at a loss as to how they can advertise a product and not provide what they promise.

  Came yesterday for a friend's birthday, and did not get what was advertised!We paid €49 each to basically sit by the pool and have a lukewarm buffet lunch, I could have stayed by my own pool and have a lukewarm buffet lunch.It was advertised as a 3 course lunch.Have a word with with your receptionist too, who was disgustingly rude, she maybe better working in a back street hostelif she's going to speak to people in that manner.

  A touch of the Riviera on the Costa Brava

  The location and property is the best in Lloret De Mar (1 hour north of Barcelona on the Costa Brava), on any budget. The property itself is stunning though a little tired. Situated high on a hill it has wonderful views of the beach and town from above. Access to the town and beach can be done via stairs or an elevator. The option we chose included a balcony room, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner which was of excellent standard. There was also free evening entertainment every night, again of high standard including Flamenco displays etc. Staff were also very professional and although primarily catering to the Spanish and French clientele were very helpful and understanding of our limited language skills. On our initial arrival we were given Rm109 which has historic odor issues (Google) and were initially fobbed off by the front desk with a it is what it is! However once speaking to the lovely highly professional manager we were moved to Rm210 and what a lovely room. Special mention of the pool and outside bar area- absolutely world class! Great views, an exclusive feel without being snobby and enough loungers, umbrellas or cabanas for all. Great music (not too loud) and good drinks and bar staff. Also the small cove directly under the castle on the beach, a wonderful place for a relaxing swim away from the main beach. Just some tips for management: 1) maybe because there is no electric jugs provided in the room keep the coffee/tea machines available 24hrs in the dining room not just breakfast?2) take card payment for the pool towel deposits not just cash? Most people don’t carry cash when swimming- better still don’t charge at all unless not returned. Keep up the good work.
