    Overall a good hotel!

    rating10 Apr 2026

We stayed at Sorra twice in 2025, May half term and the end of July. Stayed with friends and our boys aged 11 and 7 years. Overall we had a lovely time, most of the staff were polite and helpful,we had emailed asking if could have quiet rooms near each other and they accommodated this on both visits, reception staff were helpful, there are several lifeguards and they were very on the ball with pool safety tho there were inconsistencies with being able to use floats/play ball games, sometimes they were allowed and others not. Our boys are autistic so they found this hard to deal with but we felt the boys were safe in the pools and on slides which was very important for us. Food was ok, often no buns for the burgers at pool bar, ran out of ice cream/slushies etc and slightly random combinations of food but we always found something to eat and the drinks were decent and a good selection included in the all inclusive. I find all inclusive food to be hit and miss generally in most hotels and we preferred to eat at the snack bar during the day. I would say breakfast is the best meal in the main restaurant tho we didn’t go to any of the themed nights, these weren’t on in May and in July we didn’t fancy them. Staff in both restaurant and bar worked very hard and at times had to deal with some very rude customers. We found the hotel clean and well maintained, the pool areas were cleaned down each day and they had a token system for drinks so there weren’t lots of cups left around attracting insects, food needs to be eaten in one area near the slides to stop the seagulls bombing. We did have to ask for more toilet rolls as none were being left but this wasn’t a big deal and towels were changed regularly and rooms cleaned. The cleaners were friendly. There are lots of sunbeds and it never feels crowded, no sunbed wars here! The arcade was a disappointment as often the machines took our money but wouldn’t work which again our boys found difficult to deal with. The pool Zumba was good as was the foam party, there isn’t loads on during the day tho which suited us as our boys did not want to go to kids clubs but if you are families looking for lots of entertainment then this isn’t the hotel for you. We didn’t stay for the evening entertainment but it looked same each night, kids on stage dancing etc with an entertainer then various acts like Spanish dancers. We were very nervous booking here in May as so many bad reviews and went with very low expectations but were pleasantly surprised and had a great time which is why we went back again in July, I honestly can’t understand all the bad reviews as we had a good experience and we would happily return here! At the end of the day it’s not a 5 * expensive hotel.

No air con, shambles to check in

    rating07 Apr 2026

Arrived for football tournament, Check in was a shambles, over 5 hours for check in, told 14,00 then 15.00, 16,00 we was one of the first there and reception was giving out rooms to other countries before us. Arrived at 11.30 got rooms at 16,45 not really been cleaned either. We shared a balcony with others, rooms got cleaned next day with a dirty smelling mop. It’s by the beach which is good, there is a nice beach bar, which does nice food. There is a line of shops which is like a high street. Air con blows hot air. Room is roasting, Shower door don’t close water drips out. Food in the restaurant ain’t the best, probably just get by for a few days. It’s never a 4 star hotel, Staff are ok reception on the first day was shocking, telling lies all day. The water park opened after the tournament at 16.00 the kids enjoyed that. But at this minute I’m sat in bed roasting at 00.30 can’t sleep. You have to pay 18 euros for a fan which would blow hot air around the room. Kids was running havoc at all times at night which part could be expected but at 01.00 that’s pushing it. I wouldn’t return again here. The tournament organisers need a rethink about booking this hotel.

If booking for football tournament PLEASE READ

    rating06 Apr 2026

Avoid this hotel at all costs. It is absolutely not a 4-star—more like a 1-star at best.We arrived at 12:30pm for a 4pm check-in during a football tournament, along with 500+ guests, and were met with complete chaos. Massive queues, no organisation, and rude, unhelpful staff. We were then told to pay local tax and a €15 per person deposit in cash only, and unbelievably, they wanted to keep passports overnight. Our room wasn’t ready until 7:40pm, and when we finally got in, it was filthy. The balcony was trashed, there were no clean towels, no toilet paper, and no basic essentials like hand soap or shower gel. Reception was full of other guests complaining about exactly the same issues. What they also fail to tell you is that there is a nightclub directly underneath the hotel, blasting music from midnight until 6am. On the first floor, sleep was impossible. The situation was so bad that half of our group checked out early and moved to other hotels. To top it off, on departure we were told they had “run out of cash” and couldn’t return our deposits—leaving us €60 out of pocket. This place is completely unfit to host guests, let alone large groups or families. Do NOT stay here.

Would not return if you paid me.

    rating05 Apr 2026

Stayed at this hotel for a football tournament so travelled as a large group. If you can not maintain your hotel with this number of guests do not accept the reservations. Check in was chaos lacked any kind of organization for the volume of people arriving on one day, which they would have been aware of, so forward plan, on entering the room the room was dirty, I asked for this to be cleaned numerous times with no joy and was told id need to wait until the next day for towels as they only had one left. We had a shared balcony, which we couldn't sit at due to the unsupervised guests being rowdy or throwing full water bottles from above, there was dirty underwear scattered across, gross. The noise is something else at night with 2 nightclubs under neath if you like going to sleep with a bass vibrating your room and sometimes going on until 6:00 am this is right up your street. Half of our party moved hotels, that says it all. I only went to the hotel buffet once, everything on my plate was cold, my children are happy with the plain food on offer but even they didn't want to eat there which defeated the object of going full board. The slides were a focal point to attract the kids and they didn't open until 16:00 which I'm not sure if this is a seasonal thing but was quite disappointing to them. Over all, 4* I'm not sure who, what or why or where this rating was pulled from because it most definitely is not. Would I return , not if you paid me. Luckily as a big party, we survived the experience together, there are lots of local places to eat for a reasonable price. If you chose to ignore the reviews, go with very low expectations and you might be pleased.
