    A lovely stay

    rating11 Sept 2026

We got a warm welcome despite our late arrival, really helpful reception staff and a lovely room. The views of the beach from the room balcony the next morning were lovely. Food was excellent as were all the staff, pool and service were exceptional, making sure we were all safe when it became breezy. All amenities of a high standard.

    Spectacular views

The location of Parador de Aiguablava is exceptional , the road that leads to the hotel is fantastic , and then the views are spectaculair. We loved staying in this hotel, even though the restaurant needs improvement in the quality of food. The breakfast was oke , but the restaurant can improve. For it´s location we would come back. If you want a peaceful night this is the right hotel. Reme Ortiz, Otros at Parador de Aiguablava, responded to this review Good morning: Thank you very much for your feedback on your stay with us. We hope to see you again soon. Best regards

Great hotel, pity about the food

    rating19 Feb 2026

Fabulous building, super rooms, wonderful location.Staff very mixed; some were friendly but others no so much. At check-in we were made to feel like we were some kind of boring inconvenience, and when we had a problem they were unable to help. There’s no coffee making in the room, and the bar/cafe doesn’t open until 11, so if you just want a cup of coffee when you wake up your only option is full breakfast at €50 per couple. The main restaurant has a relatively small menu, with many dishes of the region. Most of the staff seemed stressed and didn’t have the time to make us feel comfortable. The croquettes were ok, but my ravioli were filled with some kind of grey tasteless mush and smothered in an overpowering bisque. My wife’s dish was a local speciality of prawns and chicken. Th prawns were cooked until the flesh inside was shrivelled, and the chicken was similarly overdone, all buried in another overpowering bisque. My wife had an unpleasant upset stomach the following morning. I would recommend eating out in the evenings, but the location is rather remote. So 5 stars for the hotel, 3 for the staff, zero for the catering. Reme Ortiz, Otros at Parador de Aiguablava, responded to this review Good morning: Thank you very much for your feedback regarding your stay with us. The bar does indeed open at 11:00, but if you’d simply like a coffee, you can order one in the breakfast room without having to help yourselves to the full buffet. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the food in the restaurant; we’ve taken note of this and will pass it on to the chef so that he can take the necessary steps. Thank you and best regards
