Location

The hostel is located in the centre of town, 150 m from the beach. Within 2-3 minutes' walk guests can access attractions such as shopping, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and public transport. The railway station is around 8 km away. Girona-Costa Brava Airport is situated at a distance of approximately 30 and Barcelona Airport some 90 km.

Facility

The hotel has 42 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. The reception desk in the lobby is staffed round the clock. A safe, a TV room and a playroom are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park.

Rooms

Air conditioning and adjustable central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Some rooms have a balcony, which gives guests additional space for rest and relaxation. Rooms include a double bed. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe. A telephone, a TV and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub.

Sport

Guests can relax and enjoy the sun loungers and parasols provided. Leisure activities available for a fee include billiards. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children (for a fee).

    If you value your back stay away. Mattresses are worn out. Room temperature can't be managed. Hallway temperature is the outdoors. Breakfast is marginal. General fixtures and furniture such as doors, carpeting. are worn out. Ironically shower pressure is so high it will peel your skin. I stay in dozens of Hilton properties every year ... stay away.     A smoking hotel

    We had reservations to stay at this location for 8 months, due to building a house in the area. We were sold a NON smoking room, however, the hotel doesn't adhere to its non smoking policy. The room above us and the room next to us had smokers, who smoked heavily. We asked for the problem to be resolved as all the vents were bringing the smoke to our room. Every morning we woke to the person above us smoking and to no avail we didn't get anywhere with management. We were offered another room but were told there was no guarantee that our new neighbor wouldn't smoke on his balcony or patio, which they ALLOWED. They told us people request balconies often to smoke. We felt very unheard and would not recommend this location at all. The staff was great, but the management was not.     I'm staying in the Homewood Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport location and feel the need to write a review. I travel for work constantly and am more than grateful when a hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff is welcoming. As a thank you let me just say I highly recommend this hotel.     I travel often and stay at a lot of Hiltons. However, this has been one of my less than favorable experiences. Excellence and professionalism seems lackluster. I checked in at 11pm, ready to go to shower and sleep. Unfortunately, the shower curtain was missing and one vent stuffed with dated tissue (or something). I changed rooms but than the lights don’t work, left over water bottles in the fridge, no pool towels (and the signage blames the guest for failing to return them), and the deposit is a 100 dollars per night ( a little high for this particular hotel experience).     Renovated- good stay

    This hotel has indeed recently been renovated- I was concerned by past reviews but pleasantly surprised on arrival. Our room was a two bedroom suite (king and 2 queens) and everything was new and clean. We did not use sofabed but it appears to be new as well. I don’t know how full the hotel was during our two night stay but we never heard neighboring guests. The showers have refill bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, but only bar soap for sink. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms. AC worked well for July. I gave a 5 review in spite of the fact the breakfast was basic Hilton offering (powdered eggs, sausage, oatmeal, breads, whole fruit). The first morning the attendant was a gentleman and possibly he was just filling in but some items were missing and he was just doing the minimum. The second morning the woman attendant was friendly and everything was offered. Elevator could use a sweep. Location was quiet, convenient to airport and Chapel Hill was easy, short drive.
