Location

This attractive beach hotel is situated in the town of S'Agaró (Community of Sant Feliu de Guíxol) and is just 50 m from Platja Sant Pol bay. Platja Sant Pol is the most romantic beach on the Costa Brava and is popular due to its central location. The wonderful turquoise-blue waters of the sea are a few paces away and links to the public transport network as well as countless restaurants are to be found in the vicinity. In addition, a good selection of shops, countless bars and nightclubs are to be found close by (3 km from the hotel). The town centre can easily be reached on foot (30 minutes walk).

Facility

Guests have a choice of 44 rooms located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Film fans will find plenty of 'lights, camera, action' at the cinema. Souvenirs can be purchased at the gift shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Rooms

    Excellent stay at Van der Valk Hotel Barcarola. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing visit. The staff are friendly, professional, and helpful. The location is ideal: peaceful, yet close to the sea and nearby attractions. Especially golf courses doe those who care. Everything feels well cared for and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, service, and relaxation.

    We spent three nights in a luxury double. Loved it. Room was very comfortable. Bed excellent. Staff were so helpful and attentive both at the reception, the restauramt, housekeeping, bar etc. Great location, just one lock back from the beach, but very quiet. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice, very good menu choice and good value. Excellent choice at breakfast buffet. Lovely open air dining around the pool area. The free parking was a big bonus.     Were not guest of the hotel, but have used the restaurant several times and ALWAYS been satisfied with the service and food quality to the extent we are surprised by some of the negative reviews. One night we visited when the hotel restaurant was booked for the equivalent of a 'debutante' party for a young Honduran lady's coming of age and the staff coped with us and the party admirably.

    Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good food at breakfast lunch and dinner.Easy to park when we went in November, park on the street , in the main carpark or in the underground carpark.We had a room with facilities for disabled on the ground floor which was easily accessible, only one down side was the toilet for disabled in the restaurant which was down two steps with no ramp, but all in all a great stay and we will definitely go again
