  Usual Ibis Budget and great staff

  Hotel is located just over 2 miles outside of town in an industrial / retail area. Large fenced free car park to the perimeter of the hotel. Easy check in with nice friendly and helpful young lady on reception. We found only two thin pillows in the room and requested two additional which proved to be no problem.Rooms are typical Ibis budget, pretty basic with vinyl floors, shower accessible from bedroom, washbasin in bedroom and separate wc. All clean and pretty well maintained.Bed was comfortable and AC worked fine. The only real issue we had was with the shower. The shower head is in located diagonally opposite to the shower door which opens outwards into the bedroom. My wife was the first to shower and when she had finished we found the bedroom floor was flooded. I went to reception and acquired some further towelling to dry the floor again no problem. By the time I had returned to the room the water was halfway under the bed. After this incident we found the only way to shower was to get in and hold the shower head against the wall initially until the water was warm and then shower oneself with minimal water pressure to avoiding spraying the door.A minor issue was the open waste to the basin with no plug facility which meant I had to shave under running water. Not so much an inconvenience but a waste of hot water for the hotel.There are no room keys at this hotel, all access is via a digital lock for which one is given a key code. My only concern with this would be if if the hotel did not change the codes and had regular guests being given different rooms could they record the entry codes for their previous rooms.The hotel is certainly utilised by numerous workmen by the number of vans in the car park which is probably why breakfast starts at 5.30am unless it’s to cater for those using the airport which is about 10 mins away.The walls to the rooms have very little soundproofing and one can hear every adjacent shower running and wc flushing of which there were many.We did however get a good nights sleep as the outside of the hotel is very quiet at night.Breakfast was OK for the €7.50 per person being charged. There were the normal croissants and pain au chocolate together with yogurt etc. There is a self service counter where one takes the normal plastic tray covered in paper which one puts all the food on and you also utilise it as your plate.For the price it was OK and you pretty well know what to expect at an Ibis budget hotel.The outstanding point about our stay was the friendly and helpful staff.

  The beds were clean and very comfortable once I’d asked for extra pillows. The rooms are quiet and functional. The worst part is that the shower is accessed directly from the room and not part of a separate bathroom. So you stepped out from the shower into the room. Staff were really helpful and spoke great English. Spare soap and towels were also helpful. Only 10 mins, by car from airport and 10 mins into Bergerac itself. Literally everything you need is within walking distance as a massive Supermarket is next door. Buffalo Grill next door too. Stopped for 2 nights with teenagers hence the shower issues. Perfect for 2 adults and a small child for a stopover. Anything more isn’t as favourable.   Good budget hotel

  Stopped at the ibis budget Bergerac on our long journey from southern Spain. Just what we needed. Good standard of room for A budget hotel with breakfast available at extra cost. €56 for a twin room that was clean and had everything we required. Buffalo grill next door for food with 10% discount for hotel users. Free Secure parking too.Overall ideals for a stop over for a couple of days but would look for a hotel with more facilities eg restaurant, bar and lounge for a longer visit.

  Had 2 night stay. Typical budget as very small and basic room. Shower and sink located in bedroom with separate toilet. No frills. Not centrally located. Free parking. Some local restaurants within walking distance and supermarkets nearby.

  Have stayed here for two nights, The usual high standard at a budget price from Ibis, good sized clean rooms, nice and quiet.Good location for eating and supermarket, bus into the centre of Bergerac. Very reasonably priced breakfast at 6.50 euros,
