    Awful Musty Rooms

    Awful. Rooms are humid and musty. A/C is controlled by hotel and poorly functioning. Everything felt sticky and smelled like mold. Front desk sends maintenance who does nothing and they have a million excuses why it’s like that, but no real solutions. I was stuck, so just had to suffer for three days. They offered no compensation at all. Avoid this hotel at all costs. You would be better off sleeping in your car.

    Used to stay here years ago. Stayed here because our office is in ybor city. Every aspect is disappointing. The rooms were musty. The pillows were pathetic. The AC barely worked leaving the room hot. They texted me after the first day asking how my stay was and i gave them one star. Nothing changed $30 to Park across the street from a dialysis clinic makes no sense. Almost like a scam. I used to love this hotel. Sad

    parking nightmare

    Room was fine , breakfast was fine - parking a nightmare - got there late - their parking is handles by a 3rd party vendor via an app - tried 3 times to get it to work - not what I want to be doing at 11pm - very frustrating - then they email a receipt which was basically just an email not a true bill - parking was $30 + tax + a service fee - what a rip off - will never stay her again if parking remains the same - and I am a lifetime Diamond member - should not have to put up with time wasting nonsense

    We stayed at the HGI in Ybor and had a great time.Bri was great getting us checked in.I will admit the paid parking was an unpleasant surprise. I did not look carefully at the web page for the hotel to see they are now charging to park when it used to be free.When we checked out I accidentally left my jacket in the room.Kudos to Laura for finding it and getting it to Kayla at the Front Desk who helped expedite shipping it back to me.Thanks everyone at the HGI Ybor for your help.
