  Nice position

  In a nice position, close to the sea front and few restaurants. On site parking, check in was easy, staff were polite, the hotel itself looks a bit tired, there is no swimming pool but the sea is so close by and with a gentle sloping seabed is very safe to swim and our stay was good.

  Stayed here for the second year in a row for Rototom festival.Hotel is 1 minute from the beach, rooms are spotless and cleaned to a high standard every day. Supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away and town centre 10 minutes. Much less on bikes.Breakfast is good - bread, cheese, meats, cakes, cereal, toast etc.What makes the hotel stand out the most however is the staff, all of them friendly and happy to help and we look forward to seeing them again next year.   We booked this hotel for the Rototom festival nothing fancy but it was clean and the staff were friendly and very very helpful. It’s a good location for the beach too. Breakfast is continental but it is enough to keep you going.   I was absolutely satisfied with the service. The receptionist and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The room is clean (and cleaned up every day). However I missed the hairdryer from the room but successfully managed to get one from the reception. The location is amazing, the most beautiful part of the beach and promenade is 1 minute walk away from the hotel. City center is 8-10 min walk with full of nice restaurant and bar.   My wife and I spent a week at the Tramontano at the beginning of July 2019. We decided on this hotel because the cost for B and B was substantially cheaper than the hotel where we normally stay - a saving of about £900.There were no complaints about the room and balcony, with a fantastic view of Vesuvias and the Bay of Naples. The standards of cleanliness were excellent, and the hotel itself was everything you might expect from a 300-year-old building, oozing class and history. A great swimming pool, too.Our only downside was the hotel's beach. The cost of two sun beds and one umbrella while we were there was 27 euros a day, which might have been acceptabale had the beach provided a good customer experience. Sadly, not. Sun beds crammed in like Blackpool on a hot day with officious beach guards telling you where you can and can't sit. Brits didn't get to sit on the actual, beach, which appeared to be reserved for Italian families. We were steered to beds on the decking, but by mid-day the sun had shifted and it proved impossible to move the umbrella as there was no space to do so.Rather naughtily, the hotel's guide book talks about 'free access' to the beach. Strictly speaking, this is true. You can swim and walk on the beach and decking free of charge. But if you want a sunbed and an umbrella - and who wouldn't? - you pay a substantial amount.
