Location

This charming hotel offers one of the best locations in Chipiona, directly by the wide, fine sandy beach Playa de Regla, but on a quiet side street. The centre, with bars, bodegas and restaurants is located just 1 kilometre away. Public transport stops are located a mere 800 m from the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 2 junior suites, 2 suites, 2 single rooms and 46 double rooms located in a 3-storey main building and a 2-storey auxiliary building. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions.     We are set in our ways when it comes to accomodation. We were looked after in every way within minutes after our arrival. a Mini bar that is not a standard item was deliverd and installed within minutes. The parking is difficult to negociate but being out of season there was plenty of parking all around. Chipeona's beaches are great long white sandy and are looked afrer daily. The experience was great The poeple even better and we on a whole our expectations were met. Yes if we return to Chipoena we will stay there agai

    Lovely hotel and staff that cannot do too much for you, rooms are comfortable and air conditioned (no mini bar though). Breakfast is OK, bar snacks/food was tasty and good value BUT, although the menu states food between 13:00 and 16:00, if you haven't ordered before 15:30 then the food may not be available. The Bar staff were great, especially Sonia, very helpful and very tolerant of my poor Spanish. The parking in the hotel garage is OK, but I can see that some people may not be able to negotiate the exiting procedure, I had no issues. We did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot comment on it. The location is great, 2 minutes from the beach and beach front promenade with bars, tapas bars and restaurants. We will plan to return to both Al Sur and Chipiona again.

    We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel, felt very comfortable, our small dog was welcome too. The pool area is wonderful even in October, the beach is very close. We enjoyed our breakfast, we ate out in the evening, Chipiona has a lot to offer.

    Okay but BEWARE

    We booked into the hotel in advance on the basis that there was secure parking. The hotel itself and the staff are fine BUT DO NOT BOOK YOUR CAR INTO THEIR UNDERGROUND CAR PARK. I am sorry but being no shrinking violet I was directed to the entrance about 50m from the hotel entrance. I tried to drive my Merc down a very steep and narrow drive into the car park space - narrow and full of pillars. That was the easy bit! Getting the car back out required significant tight manoeuvres. The apex at the top mean I scraped the underside of my car going in and coming out. They have clearly removed some of the apex but it is terrible. Took the enjoyment out of the stay for me out of worry for how the hell I was to get the car out. Otherwise, clean hotel, nice staff and close to a fantastic beach. They need to abandon that garage for guests.

    Good location near the beach, parking problematic, but in late September, have some patienc.Not good for breakfast, better to go out to a local cafe.Staff helpful, upper rooms have view of sea and church/cathedral
