  Great Stay Again

  It was our second stay and it was so lovely to return!Our room was very different this time (previous room had very high gorgeous wooden ceiling with a stained glass window set high in the inner wall), but 307 was really comfortable and did not disappoint. Being a junior suite you enter into the compact living room, where we put our feet up to watch TV after long explorations of the wonderful Seville! It contained a small but comfy sofa, 2 small chairs under the tv, as well as a desk and chair.Next is the large shower room - I loved the push button controls for the showers. So easy to change between the hand held shower and the large over head when your eyes are full of shampoo :0)Opposite the shower are the hanging racks (plenty of hangers are supplied - thank you), as well as the fridge, kettle and coffee machine (2 pods per day supplied). My husband was very grateful for having good quality coffee in the room. Also great that a steamer (and board) are supplied, really handy for getting creases out quickly.The bedroom is spacious and the giant bed was extremely comfortable. There was only one chair in the corner so we borrowed a small chair from the sitting room (as we weren't expecting guests).The reception team (and the nice bar man on the roof terrace) were so lovely - friendly and helpful. As we arrived on my husband's birthday I had asked if I could buy a desert in place of a birthday cake and he was very touched when he saw what had been left. I should have taken a photo (too eager to eat it!) - a slice of delicious chocolate torte, a slice of mouth watering baked cheesecake, surrounded by delectable chocolate treats <3 Not to mention the bottle of cava - a lovely start to the birthday!The location is great - just around the corner from the Cathedral, close to bars and restaurants on C. Mateous Gago and within walking distance of so many sights, shopping and more cafes.We will not leave it so long to return to beautiful Seville and this lovely hotel.

  We selected the hotel for two reasons, the location close to the cathedral and the price. We were not disappointed. An excellent location literally a few minutes from many bars and restaurants, the main shopping area and of course the cathedral. Check-in and out straightforward, the staff friendly and polite and overall i liked the vibe of the hotel. It is deceptive large which isn’t apparent from the outside. The room was spacious, cleaned and towels changed every day, has a fridge, safe and steam iron. The shower is excellent and very good wi-fi. The only criticism is that there need to be hooks on the walls to hang coats etc and a proper chest of drawers for smaller items of clothing. Breakfast has a decent selection of food, hot and cold. Eggs made to order and the coffee hot (one of my particular bug bears if it isn’t). As we had to check-out very early on departure day and would not have been able to have breakfast, the hotel provided a takeaway food box for us which we collected at reception at check-out. Nice touch. Apart from the one minor room criticism an excellent hotel and would happily book again.

  Great hotel in a marvellous quiet location just a few minutes walk from the busy historic centre. Pleasant ambience throughout and Bedrooms are stylish and well equipped.

  Far from a Four-Star Experience

  We were very disappointed with our stay. We paid for a four-star hotel but did not receive four-star service. Even before arrival, it was a struggle to secure the twin beds we had requested when booking. While the room and common areas were pleasant, breakfast quality was poor (average products, limited savoury options) and, most surprisingly, the advertised bar simply did not exist during most of the week. We were even told “opening hours” at reception, only to discover later from online reviews that the bar is closed Monday to Thursday — information never disclosed beforehand.The poor sound insulation made restful nights impossible, and at check-out, the receptionist did not even ask how our stay had been. After our departure, we contacted both the hotel and the group to share this feedback. Two weeks later, we still have not received a reply. This silence confirms what our experience had already suggested: customer service here is lamentable.Overall, a very disappointing experience that significantly reduced our enjoyment of Seville.
