Location

This hotel is located on a main street in Algeciras, near the bullring and the exhibition grounds. Set in the centre of Algeciras, it is 20 m from public transport and 50 m from the nearest restaurants. It is just 700 m from the shops and the closest bars and nightspots. The port and the train station are both 5 minutes away and guests will find the tourist centre 1.5 km away, while Rinconcillo beach is 2.5 km from the property.     Decent hotel in a good location

    When I reserved this hotel, I wasn’t sure about I chose correctly because of the location, because most visitors to Algeciras are headed to Gibraltar and/or Ceuta/Tangier. And both the ferry terminal and bus station are a 25 minute walk away. But having been down near the port, and seen that it is an area in need of redevelopment, I can happily say this is a much nicer area to stay in. The hotel is a block from the supermarket, and there are restaurants a short walk away. My room on the 2nd floor is large, quiet, and have very good air conditioning. It’s an average budget hotel, so it’s a bit boring in style. But for business, or as a base for day trips, it’s a good choice. The only complaint I have is the refrigerator which is full, and has a QR code that apparently allows purchases. I don’t mind the hotel trying to make money, but please at least allow us a little space to keep a drink or a yoghurt cold. It’s southern Spain. It’s hot. We need refreshments. Like I said, I understand why you have the refrigerator that way, but as a frequent hotel guest, (you are my 7th hotel this trip) only your hotel is this way. Apart from that one annoyance, I enjoyed my stay.

    Good hotel at a good location. The rooms are well equipped and modern. The breakfast was really excellent. It's very rich and very tasty. Perhaps the parking could be offered free of charge for the hotel guests. Anyway, we had a nice stay for 2 nights.

    A very comfortable hotel room and bathroom! Reasonable price, and I would recommended for an affordable stay in Algeciras for solo travelers. Parking is in garage below, and restaurants/gas station are not too far away from Sercotel Aura Algeciras

    Very good standard for the price, stayed at a few sercotels during our tour of spain, clean, comfortable spacious room, parking expensive at 12 euro for one motorcycle, other chains in avila, merida, cadiz all offered free parking for motorcycles, otherwise very good Sercotel Aura Algeciras, General Manager at Sercotel Aura Algeciras, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.     Worst hotel ever

    This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the beds were uncomfortable I felt like I was sleeping on the floor, it said the free toothbrush that was given had rock as it’s packaging to save the trees, I think the beds were aswell, I nearly slipped in the shower because the “mat” (Escolator) was making me go forward so much, don’t recomm me this Sercotel Aura Algeciras, General Manager at Sercotel Aura Algeciras, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
