  Noisy on a weekend, needs a refurbishment.

  Room had a weird smell upon entering. Cleaniliness was fine but facilities extremely outdated. Staff at reception were friendly and cot was provided for baby when asked though state of it was quite old. Breakfast options were poor and not very allergen conscious. Lack of alternative milks for example and I have a dairy allergy.Stayed on a Saturday and it was extremely noisy in the room. During the day, we could hear the music from a nearby Feria del Atun so loud that some of objects in the room would tremor and could feel the base of the music. In the evening, the bars just outside hotel were busy and could hear people talking very loudly until past 1am. It was also very bright in the room, making sleep difficult which is super inconvenient when travelling with a baby. Stayed as a 2-night voucher experience from Wonderbox and left after 1 night as was really not impressed.   I was heading to Sancti Petri with my niece and nephew recently, travelling by public transport. Having taken the Cadiz tram in Chiclana, we couldn't find a taxi anywhere. The wonderful reception staff at Hotel Alboran helped us out by ordering one, which came within seconds. I am very grateful for their help.   Good hotel, very friendly staff, great rate

  We booked just now in high season a few days before. We had a room for three, for just less than €80!! A good room, good airco and free wifi. Parking place inside the building. Bathroom was clean, if we are there again we will come back!!   Our room was nice and clean but small. It felt very Spanish though with nice paint and embellishments. Our mini fridge did not work. We had to disconnect the room key from the "room power" key just to keep the AC on while we were away. If we didn't the room would be stifling hot. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. It consists of mainly bread and cold meat. We had reserved a parking space only to be told that none were available (even though I could see empty spaces clearly on their CCTV screen behind the desk.) We had to park on public parking which cost us €16. There isn't much to do nearby. However we took the M020 bus from Rio Iro bus station (3 min walk from hotel) to Cadiz. It was about €6.20 for two people - one way. We returned on the bus - same cost back. Bus only runs hourly (at quarter past) so be prepared. You collect the return bus at the bus stop by a black railing near the round about with a giant lock in the middle - near plaza de la hispanidad. We were lost so I hope this helps somebody. 😄 Susana R, Director General at Crisol Chiclana, responded to this review Dear Ryan,Thank you for sharing your experience at our hotel.We have several types of rooms in the hotel, we felt that the assigned room was not of its entire liking for space.The breakfast we serve has some hot items such as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages.As for the parking, we have 22 places and apart we have an agreement with an outdoor parking that charges our customers a price of 10.00 € per hour,maybe we did not give that information on arrival and so you have not paid the correct rate .From the hotel you can make visits to different interesting tourist spots, and those who prefer to use public transport, have a bus stop very close by.We would like to be able to offer you our services again.Best regards,

  Food is good. I you dont like the dish they will give you something else (it was preset by the agency). I dont like chicken legs and they brought me something else immediately. Nice personnel.Room was very spanish decorated, no carpet etc, tiles. Liked it. Bed is not soft. Good wifi. Windows can be opened. Airco was good, do I heard some were out of order.Short stay, not very luxurious, just ok. Room was very clean. The best hotel for just travelling through.
