  I stayed at the Elba Costa Ballena Beach & Thalasso Resort in July with my family and my two young daughters. It is a four-star hotel located in a very quiet residential area surrounded by greenery and golf courses, not far from the beach.The room was spacious and clean, making it suitable for a family with children. However, the furnishings—both in the rooms and in the hotel’s common areas—look rather dated and, in my opinion, would benefit from renovation to fully live up to the hotel’s category.One of the hotel’s strengths is definitely the food: it is good and, above all, very varied, with a wide range of options to suit different tastes. During breakfast, however, there can sometimes be queues, and the coffee machine often runs out, which can be inconvenient.I would also like to mention the hotel parking fee, which is €15 per day. About 50 metres away, there is another car park where it is possible to pay just over €8 during the day via an app, making it a more convenient option when spaces are available.The staff were kind, helpful and welcoming, helping to make our stay enjoyable. Overall, the hotel is a good choice for a relaxing family holiday, particularly thanks to its peaceful location, spacious rooms and varied food. However, the furnishings would benefit from an update, and breakfast service could be better organised during the busiest periods.   Stay at Elba Hotel in Rota

  Located next to the beach. Easy to access and reach its location. Great atmosphere within the hotel. Rooms were ample, clean and we had views to the swim up pool and beach. Good value for money considering the time of year we went. Was quiet as no traffic in the area. Service provided by staff members was brilliant especially Marcel and Virginia during breakfast and lunch always with a smile and good vibes. Ana who had been recently placed at the pool bar was great and although she had no prior experience in cocktails she made the best mojitos and san Francisco. Roberto from the kitchen was very helpful when crabclaws were served and needed opening. The best paellas were from Antonio. From the seafood, meat and black rice ones. He is spot one in making them.   Acceptable but wouldn’t go out way to visit.

  Hotel was clean, food was good for the money and met expectations. However, there is great room for improvement. Employees are not friendly and welcoming accept restaurant staff. Kids club toys were dirty and employees not engaging. We were celebrating a birthday and there was no acknowledgment - not expecting freebies but a simple note would have been appreciated.   Dissapointing family holiday with no entertainment

  We were extremely disappointed with this hotel. The atmosphere is incredibly quiet and feels more like a retirement home than a family resort. We travelled with children aged 8 and 12 after reading that the hotel offered kids’ activities, but there was absolutely nothing for children. No entertainment, no shows, no activities during the day or evening. I have honestly never stayed at a hotel with no entertainment at all.The food was bland and lacked variety. While the hotel surroundings are lovely and it is close to the beach, there is nothing else nearby no restaurants, bars or shops within walking distance.The room was spacious and clean with lovely views from the balcony.Unfortunately, due to lack of entertainment and good atmosphere we would not return as a family.
