    It was ok but we won't be booking again, definatly wouldn't rate it 4 star more like 3, staff were ok not rude but not the friendliest I've encountered, (reception staff lovely) we were all inclusive (think majority of people were) food was ok but everything overcooked, meat especially hard , not a great choice for kids at meal times especially kid staples at evening meals, like chicken nuggets, fish fingers, burgers, kids pizza (there was pizza but more towards adults pallet e.g blue cheese in the 4 cheese pizza, lots of herbs etc). If you have fussy eater like me it was hard to find stuff for him to eat. Drinks were ok, took some practice to get the beer tap going but it was the usual expected for all inclusive. The rooms were clean but showing some wear, the beds were rock hard and didn't give us a great nights sleep, the pools were clean, but not heated, kids were ok in them and liked the slides, but not exactly temp for a relaxing swim, several of the loungers were in need of a deep clean and several of the big shade umbrellas had large tears in them. You will need to put a €15 deposit for pool towels each if you want them for your stay and charge €1 each to change them for clean ones, the indoor pool again you need to pay extra for to use €15 each as its part of the spa, there is no private beach so again need to pay for a loungers of you want a day on the beach, I think it was €5 for half a day (we declined) but the beach was lovely and clean but I'd suggest water shoes as alot of shells. Entertainment was lacking and the kids mini disco was disappointing, got about 6 songs and not much else. Were were there for a week and overall it was just ok for us.     Lovely hotel and staff. Food varied on how good it was depending on which theme night it was.Breakfast and lunch time the food was really good.Air conditioning in the room wasnt that good. The entertainment would be better if the evening entertainment was earlier than 22:00, 20:00 would be a much better time. Around the pools they didnt play any music to promote the holiday vibe.     Pretty hotel, swimming pools and sun beds are many, Food is nice different each evening with a theme. Always warm. Pool bar burgers are a big dodgy and under cooked. Drinks no issues, play room for kids Entertainment is mediocre and 10pm every night which I feel is late for the kids. Kids club awful on for 6-7 same songs and dance every night.     Fantastic family holiday

    Some information about us : Family of 3, consisting of 2 adults and 1 child aged 4 from the Netherlands.We had a brilliant time at Estival Islantilla and will definitely be returning here someday! I will try to keep this review as organised as possible : - Food : 9,5/10The food is really good, unlike a lot of other hotels which cater to big crowds. At first we were a bit surprised about how busy it was (we went from the 13th of October until the 23rd), but there was always plenty of food. We have a child of our own, so having something to colour while we were dining was a welcome surprise. There were themed nights, like Italian, Mediterannean, Asian, etc. For me personally, the Andalusian evening was the best. Great fresh food and all very tasteful. The pizzas are a big plus, they are made fresh and are really tasty. There was even an option without the tomato base, which was great news for me. Breakfast and lunch were amazing as well. Not being able to choose what you want first is such a first world problem, but I really can't comment anything negative about the food. There is plenty of choice for English travellers as well. If I had to name a negative, it would be that the bread was quite hard by evening time, but thats really nitpicking. - Room : 9/10We had a junior suite with the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a sea view. Obviously it was great. The view was beautiful with the early sunsets and late (8:30AM) sunrises. I always made myself a coffee in the room while watching the sun rise before we went down for breakfast. The cleaning staff were friendly, and made sure the room was spotless. - Pool / beach : 9/10Pool area was kept very clean, plenty of sunbeds. Our child really enjoyed the slides and the obstacle course inside the pool. I enjoyed the slides as well to be fair... There was a day when a child had a little brown "accident" in the pool, but the staff were very quick to close the pool and started the cleanup process. Accidents can happen and they were very quick to clean it. The beach is like a minute walk away and is very nice. We always lied on our towels instead of a sunbed, but it was 10 euros to rent a sunbed for a day if I'm not mistaken. - Overall : 9/10Friendly staff, great location (nice and quiet), hardly any waiting time at the bar (friendly bar staff as well, although it does help if you speak Spanish), the hotel is kept spotless throughout the day and overall just a great experience. They were super friendly to our daughter, who needed a bit of time to warm up to Estivi, the mascot, but once she got used to him, she really liked him/her! We even got her an Estivi plush which got to travel with us back to the Netherlands.To summarize, we had a great holiday. We had a car during our stay, so we did venture out a few times (Isla Cristina, Huelva, etc.). We really got to relax this holiday, and will be returning!     Great Oct half term holiday

    Hotel is clean, service is good, room was very comfortable. Even the sleeper coach was comfy. Restaurant meals were varied and pleasant.The pool area is fab and kids loved the slides. Also right on the beach which is a bonus. Enjoyed sunset walks along the beach and shell collecting.Great spot for Oct half term as not crazy busy, great vibe and sun is still shining.
