Location

This hotel lies in the leisure district of Sancti Petri and, depending on which block the room is in, guests will be between 100 m and 500 m from the nearest beach.

Facility

The resort has a lift and features 6 suites and 413 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Rooms

Air conditioning, central heating and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. While the adults swim a few laps in the outdoor pool, children can enjoy splashing about in their own swimming area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The wide range of activities offered at the resort ensures that there is something new to do every day, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, volleyball and paddle tennis. Water sports enthusiasts are offered water aerobics. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, darts, callisthenics and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the resort, including a spa, a sauna and massage treatments. Leisure facilities include a kids' club, a kids' disco, live music and a dance club.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant (with high chairs) and a bar. All-inclusive can be booked. A delicious and varied buffet awaits guests at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. The resort also offers snacks. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    As usual Riu did not disappoint. We have used Riu hotels since 1998 various locations. Lovely hotel and grounds, plenty of sunbeds available all day so no need to reserve! The staff throughout were amazing efficient, friendly and professional making our stay even more enjoyable and memorable. Was que at check in when arrived but still fairly quick and staff were handing out red bands but we had to wait for diamond ones from desk; room was ready early when checking in, as requested per diamond club benefit, most appreciated after long night/day travelling. Entertainment very good and enjoyed variety on offer, singers and saxophonist in downstairs bar great and enjoyed dancing along with many Spanish and other guests we met making English feel welcome thankyou. The animation team were exceptional again encouraging us to join in. Being older we particularly enjoyed the Liquid bar crazy game, bingo, latin dance and karaoke, will practice new songs for our return and guest Stephen who saved the day at Rock Legend night when the lead singer had sore throat, think you should enter Britain Got Talent . Food and drinks again very good standard and enjoyed all restaurants, thankyou again to all staff working in the bars and restaurants. Hope to see all again hopefully next year, just wish we could fly from local airport rather than Gatwick with Tui airline. Tui excursions to Seville & Cadiz also very good and lovely places to visit, with bar/restaurant/shop owners most welcoming and friendly which we visited during free time. Only minor thing to note is not many bars/restaurants/shops etc in walking distance if you wish to go outside hotel but no.8 bus takes you to Nova Center which has more on offer.

    Annoyed priority Riu class check in lane had been removed. Very disturbed night with guests returning to rooms, but Riu staff were understanding and relocated us. But we will return as we love the location and beach.     Suitable for all ages, from youngest to oldest. Rooms are clean, as is whole complex, vast choice of food, staff are friendly and welcoming, great hard working entertainment team. And right by one of the best beaches in Spain. Good value for money, would highly recommend.

    Fantastic hotel, we loved it. Let’s get the negatives out the way. We checked in on a Friday and queued for over an hour to get checked in. Towards the end of our two weeks we were getting a bit disappointed in the lack of variety in the food choices.Having said that the food was good quality. The staff were fantastic! Every one of them greater you and the bar and cleaning staff were so friendly and very helpful. We will be coming back.

    It was our 3rd time visiting Riu Chiclana in May. The hotel is everything you can expect. Food was amazing, the Friday night party was incredible and the staff is absolutely fantastic. Special thank you to Elena in reception who made sure we had everything we needed and managed to keep our family all together and to all the animation team (Alba, Sergio, Jose, etc) who made our evenings incredible. We had kids between the ages of 8months and 7hears old and they had the best time.We will keep coming back for sure!
